We are very pleased with our recent move with 495 Movers. They were prompt, careful, friendly and so easy to work with. Our moving consultant Patrick came and provided an accurate estimate and helped us understand what to expect, all of the costs and how to prepare. We had not moved in almost 30 years. Autumn in the office kept us informed of plans, helped us get extra boxes and packing material on short notice and was prompt at answering our questions. We packed our small items ourselves so the move was primarily disassembling furniture and packing it along with loading all our boxes safely on the truck. The three movers, Eric, Jason and Julio were terrific. They assessed the move, listened to our special requests and then promptly went about loading the truck. Even though we had some bulky and awkward items they were careful and moved everything out of our old home and into our new home without incident.They set up the items in our new home and placed boxes where we designated. While moves are often challenging, 495 Movers did a great job of making our move a success.

We hired 495 movers for a local move. They are a very professional company ,and were very helpful in every aspect I could imagine. I had requested quotes from different companies. 495 movers stood out as the most professional out of the all. From my first phone call to two days after the move, they were constantly in touch with me. The initial quote was exact match with the actual price. They even delivered the boxes and packing material for an additional 100$. You have an option to go collect the boxes yourself at no cost, but I didn’t have the time to do that so it helped a lot. Boxes and packing supplies are included in the moving cost. On moving day, I received a call half an hour in advance to let us know they will be there. They were very respectful of our property and handled everything with a lot of care. Customer service reached out in the middle of the move to check of everything was going fine for me. Then two days later, they gave me another call to check how things went with the move. Their prices were the same as the other movers I talked with.They supplied with two trucks and an extra person to help finish the move in time. So the real cost came very close to the estimate. I have done 5 moves in the past 15 years and this one was the most easy one because of this company. Latoya and Heavens from customer service were a pleasure to work with :)

From top to bottom I had a great experience with 495 movers. Their time-based pricing was clear and transparent from the very beginning. They really do include all the packing materials you want in the price of your move. I picked up about 100 boxes and a dozen rolls of tape about a month before the move no problem. Movers were courteous and professional. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone else.

This was our second move with 495 Movers. We were very happy with both moves. Josh provided an excellent in-person estimate. The crew arrived promptly and secured a great spot for the truck in our apartment complex. Our items.were carefully wrapped. We experienced no damage to our furniture. The crew worked quickly and were helpful moving our items to just the right space in our new home, even moving them around so we could see how they looked the best. Cleanup was excellent. We highly recommend them!

Really great experience with 495 Movers. Dean provided a virtual estimate which made me feel comfortable that we would not have any surprise extra fees on moving day. We had a great professional and efficient crew led by Gustavo show up to load up the truck, including Milton who drove our truck from DC to FL. Milton ensured our truck was unpacked, furniture was put back together, and boxes were in the most convenient spots for us to unpack. We had an excellent experience and really cannot recommend them enough. If we move again, we'll definitely call them first.

They were great from the start. Dean was incredibly helpful when I called and scheduled. He was also helpful and understanding as the time for our move drew nearer and I started to stress about all the details. Then on the day of pack and move Marvin and his crew were here early and were able to fit everything in our moving container. They were incredibly fast and masters at packing so everything fit and was secure. They would be me first and only call next we move if we were still in the area.

UPDATE: in response to review, customer service reached out and was helpful in addressing our issues and providing a remedy. Updating review accordingly. Company is very responsive until they make a sale (*note that the actual movers were wonderful*) and then there is a steep drop off in communication - radio silence! I was very disappointed with the communication and lack of professionalism with the ops team during our long distance move to Chicago on 8/6-8/8. I have now tried multiple times, with multiple persons, to have a discussion of what went wrong. I was promised return calls and never heard anything, thus the reason for this review. For the expensive price tag of a pack and move, you can find a company that actually responds to your questions and concerns! Our issues were as follows: (1) Not at all proactive with communication. The day before delivery, the company reached out to tell us there was a delay with our delivery. We were understanding and were promised an update between 9-10am the next morning, which we never received. At noon, after calling 10-12 times and trying multiple extensions, I finally reached someone who was able to provide an update. (2) In our agreement, 495 Movers promised us 3-4 delivery persons for unloading in Chicago. This is a main reason we chose 495 movers. However, only 2 movers were at the delivery end of our move. The delivery was late (as described above) and had fewer people than promised so it took well into the evening. We reached out to customer service, and to our sales rep Josh (twice before getting a response!), for a resolution - or at the very least an understanding of why this happened. We were very clear with our concerns. Josh promised a response from him or someone else at the company the next day. 4 days later, still haven't heard a peep.

Antonio and his crew were just amazing in our move. They certainly followed all Covid friendly protocols, wore masks at all times, worked non stop and made a stressful move much easier through their helpfulness and professionalism. They did an awesome job. I will definitely recommend their services. I will definitely be using them when. i move again.

While some may think that paying a little bit more will provide a better or more professional service, that absolutely does not hold true for 495 Movers. We experienced a multitude of issues throughout the entire process from in-home estimation all the way to delivery. - Our in-home estimation was provided by one of their "Vice Presidents” and ended up costing us 40% more than we expected on move-day. After fighting for weeks over both the phone and email, 495 Movers gracefully decided to compensate us for most, but not all, of the overage. This is despite their website that states they will hold true to their estimates. - Both sets of packing and delivery personnel felt out-sourced and took little to no care with our belongings or home's walls. Even to the point of arguing over breaking some of our things on-the-spot and then demanding we tip them before they would leave. - Disassembly and reassembly of our two large furniture items left us with a broken dining room table, including multiple sheared-off and stripped screws. We opted not to have them attempt to assemble our other furniture item. - Many of our belongings and collectibles had been tossed around and then poorly packed, which resulted in multiple damages that neither the insurance company nor 495 Movers would compensate us for. Several items would have been missed completely during packing if we had not been diligent in picking-up after the employees. This experience was one of those lessons that reminded us that if you want something done right, it is better to do it yourself. Or, at least do not ask 495 Movers to participate.
