Zero stars There is a lot of sitting there is absolutely no money to be made with this SCAM COMPANY and as independent contractors, we'll it's not 0 money down as posted on the website FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Drivers you will make more money standing on the corner begging for money I worked 3 weeks straight and made a NEGATIVE PAYCHECKS

Worked for a while here. It is a good company. Well structured and nice place to work with really friendly people. Unfortunatly had to quit because I didn't make the miles they offered to me. Basically a local driver makes a way more money than me. To be clear to understand, I am talking about a $500 a week being Regional first and then switched to OTR. Not possible to survive with that. Wasted two consecutive weekends stuck in truck stops without moving a single mile. Hard to make any money in such a condition. Not to mention that I haven't been payed for detentions and layovers yet. Update.... now those guys are charging me with $320 for the orientation because I worked less than 90 days. So was I supposed to continue loosing money for 90 days? My Last paycheck was $71. It is Just not fair because I quit because they didn't give the miles they offered. I was supposed to have a minimun of 2k miles a week and hardly made 1k. With loads of 300 or 350 miles to be driven in 2 days... it doesn't make any sense. And yet they charge me for leaving the company before 90 days.... not to mention that they haven't paid me for detention and layovers... and pretty sure they won't pay...

Good place to work so far. I’ve been here since January/2023, I have no complaints so far. I do regional, but they do have OTR positions, and in most big cities they have local but you would have to get in contact with them to find out where local work is available. They have a steady amount of loads from dedicated freight, a majority of the loads are refrigerated so always arrive early to get in and out faster. They do have outward facing cameras, and once you dispatchers do not annoy you, if you hear a driver complain about dispatchers they must be lazy lol. If you are in the Southeast Region you will most likely see a ABCO truck and just talk to a driver, even from our private driver convos, there’s really nothing to complain about at this company. Oh yeah we got BENEFITS!!! Lol

If I could rate a zero I would. Stay away....far away...this is a write off company for RL carriers....drivers sit on loads that are due to deliver for two days...sit in truck stops for 2 days or more and not get paid for being under a load ....they then claim they over paid you on your pay checks and take money back without informing you...then refuse to pay you ur final check when you resign...stating the driver didn't turn in the bills in time...another lie...company is a joke. Too many hands in the pot when it comes to dispatch...one tells you this another tells you that....you can sit at docks or in yards for up to 10 or more hours....thats the norm for this company...running down ur drive clock then the dispatch informs you to PC to the next drop or pick up....stay away if you value your CDL

The pay was not all that good compared to other trucking companies, I was offered a much better position and local at that from another company and be home everyday, $1,550. a week, I only stayed with ABCO 2 weeks before accepting this local job, so ABCO decided to take back my orientation pay that I earned regardless of the fact that I didn't stay with the company for no more than 2 weeks, That gives them the right to keep my money? Wrong I was considered on duty working for 8 hours a day and they need to pay me!!

Just started a lease purchase Sept 29. The staff was very friendly, the office is very clean, the driver lounge is nice & clean. I've been with bad companies doing leasing with foreigners out of Illinois, but I'm happy to be with a company that's just 3-4 hours from my home in FL.

Coming from being an OO going back to company driver, I must say the transition was smooth. From submitting my application to the communications with staff. My only problem is getting use to not having to worry about breakdown, fuel, booking loads and talking with brokers. I did want to join as a IC but I have a fear of the North and snow, so the southern regional is my best bet. This company has what I was looking for as far as benefits, nearby parking by my home. I have a new appreciation for company drivers. Would I recommend this company, yes I would! But I don’t want anyone spoiling things for me go find your own. I am loving it here! I had to edit this review 4 wks now! Wonderful still but I’m here to give a shout out to the maintenance department! I thought the R & L team at the maintenance department are the best at the Lakeland location but 1 Pembroke 2 Lakeland 3 Jacksonville 4 ABCO So far are the top 4 with the mechanics the location my be cramp in some places but the staff is top notch! Speaking from an experience OO with my own truck and trailer and the breakdown that I have had with mines! Whew! The Best! Shout out to Mr Frank that walked me through some step being down on the side of the road and was able to safely make it to the Pembroke location during the “Ian” storm! If he could be cloned! If you follow my reviews you know I don’t bite my tongue with any company! If any driver not happy with ABCO or R & L Carriers, let just say it’s not the company! Now let me go see how I can transfer over to a IC! Say safe drivers!

The potential to make money with ABCO is there, if that is all you care about. As a driver one of the most important things that you care about is your safety and driver manager. The truck I was assigned had issues from the start. I was made to feel that is was my imagination because they could not identify the issues when they hooked up to their computer. After four attempts and other issues; I had enough! The driver manager for the account I was on initials JP seem not to know how to do his job efficiently, at all. All in all, I think the company is very ego driven, not driver driven, the potential to make money is there. I was hoping to make this my home. ABCO consistently has an weekly AD for drivers which speaks volumes. Beware!

The company is very misleading with what they call guaranteed pay. They dock you about 250.00 per day if you take home time. They habitually refuse to get you home on time during your scheduled time. If you request to be home on a Friday it will most likely be the following Monday before they route you home. The insurance leaves a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!

STAY AWAY is all i will say...they care more about just putting you in the truck and making them money than they do your value. I just started here and i already regret it. They tell u what u wanna hear just to get you out of their faces and their trucks are nasty they DO NOT clean them before they put u in it its ur responsibility. All their shippers and receivers kill your clock and then they tell you just PC from there when u have no hours to drive and all the truck stops are full with nowhere to park....also dont accept the rental and the hotel room because thats how they rope you in for 90 days if u leave u gotta pay them for it! 👎🏾

I dont drive for them (yet ) but I can say this. The Gal I spoke with. Was one of the best I spoke with. I have been talking to alot of folks many companies she was the only one. Who was Professional had a great sence of humor and made alot of valid points. But best of all loved her energy. And I will say she was funny. But u will have some very hard thinking to do because she made. The deal really hard to pass up i am sketchy. But. Thats a different story and time.

I have been with ABCO going on 6 years and it has been a great move for me. Drove OTR for the majority of the time and got great miles. I have stayed with ABCO because they are based in Florida and some loads have allowed me to stop at home in central Florida, where I live, for 10 hour breaks-overnight. They get me home when I put in for home time in advance. Main thing if you want to work and make money, you just need to get out there. This company will run you. If you do wind up sitting for a substantial time they do pay you for it. You are paid for your time here. The Driver Managers and operations team are very straightforward as long as you are willing to work with them. Equipment is 3 years and newer and maintained well. 24 hours operations means that when you call overnight or on the weekend someone is there to answer and assist. Hazmat Endorsement is not required but it is very helpful to have. Having Hazmat may open doors to regional, local and dedicated opportunities and you will make better pay. Getting my Hazmat has opened doors for me. The company offers resorts for the drivers to use free of charge and cares about its drivers. They will scratch your back if you scratch theirs. Work with them and they will work with you. TRUST ME ON THIS. Overall working here was a great choice for my driving career and I plan on staying around unless I hit the lottery!"

I've been in and around trucking for over 40 years and I can tell you that ABCO is the Gold Standard. Experienced, safe drivers, new and well maintained equipment and an operations team that is friendly, focused and communicative. Management cares about the drivers, operations staff and business partners. Nothing negative to say, great company.

So far It’s been a great experience. Tania in recruiting made the process of switching companies extremely easy and no stress. I have met some amazing people so far. I just started with this company but look forward to the months to come. Great starting pay and very nice trucks!!

I really like this company. They treat you like family and checks are always on time. They keep me running. i can't complain. Love my truck
