Let me tell you straight up, this is the worst insurance agency I’ve ever dealt with. If you’re a business owner, stay away. I’ve never had so many “compliance and audit” reporting needed - ever. We’ve been in business 17 years, used them the last 2-3 for workers comp, and I’ve never had a worst taste in my mouth about an insurance agency. I literally wanted to write this review 6 months ago, to try and save as many souls as possible from dialing them up. I’ve done my fair share of audit reports for multiple insurance companies, but I’ve never had a company so unorganized, invasive, argumentative than Accident Fund. Seriously, these folks are the last people you want to deal with if you’re a small business owner, contractor, or if you’re self employed. Don’t say I didn’t warn you - stay away. I am SO GLAD I switched carriers, I wouldn’t wish working with Accident Fund on my worst enemy.

This is the worst place to ever deal with! I was given the run around and non-stop excuses with my claim through my company and they never even acted like they wanted to help me or even take my injury seriously but when it comes to a mishap with an overpayment, they are quick with responses telling you that you need to pay them back, bring up your claim or injury, that's a joke! I never want to deal with these people anymore. I hope my job can get a new workers comp company one day!

Please read the reviews before ever getting involved with this company. They are very unprofessional & WILL NOT return your phone call until you call them everyday for a week and a half & have to get in contact with a supervisor who doesn’t answer. I had to call laura seratt multiple times with her sending me to voicemail & when I finally get a call back I asked for someone else to speak with for my claim and she replied “thank you” & hung up!!? I sent my email June 2nd and to be told almost a month later that I sent the wrong documents is totally unacceptable that should of been discussed! Definitely talking to my attorney about getting a new workers comp agent!!

Absolutely horrible billing practices. Perhaps it's normal in this industry but they base your premium off of your estimated payroll dollars for the year. Then audit you at the end of the year, and if your payroll dollars are more than the estimate, they bill you for the extra money! I have ended up owing thousands of dollars at the end of the year on an audit, because they decided at the end of the year, they didn't charge me enough and wanted more money for the services already rendered. I wish I could go back to a customer, after already having provided services, and say, you know, I think I should have charged you more, here's a bill! Will absolutely never do service with this company again!

This company is beyond slack. . My husband's checks never come on the same day,sometimes a week late,he has had more than we can count case workers and everyone of them never communicated with him. It's just an all around poor compmay.

I was injured at work and this is the company through which my employee holds Worker’s compensation policies. My claim was very simple and I was back to work after 3 months. Dealing with United Heartland has been far more stressful and aggravating that my work injury. I was back to work mid October with no additional need for services. I have been calling my worker since the end of October just trying to get paid out what is owed to me. I have never gotten a call or email back despite the repeated phone calls. I called the Worker’s direct superb several times with no call back whatsoever. So then I called the supervisor’s supervisor and received no response back. This business is at the height of unprofessionalism. It’s to the point where I will need to retain an attorney to ever see the money that is owed to me. During my injury, the checks came with no regularity or consistency. Had I been solely dependent on the miserly sum they paid me, I would have had my vehicle repossessed, my house for closed upon, and had no food. It’s incredibly absurd that a company which is paid its bill regularly and consistently can operate with these business tactics. If you or your company have any chance to go with a different company, I highly recommend even sticking your money in a hole in the ground. At least you will be able to be paid out in a timely and professional manner. Any company tied to United Heartland holds the same unprofessional image to me.

I'm the injured person but they want me to do all the work. They want me to email and call in after every appt and any status changes, isnt that what you get paid for? They also aren't paying me correctly because the case manager is to lazy to find out my correct income. Very lazy company.

We canceled our policy with this company in January. At the time our account was COMPLETELY current. After they received our cancellation they send us a bill because they said we did not complete the previous years audit. Even after I told them my accountants sent the audit and we resend it they still billed me for "not providing a audit in time". One of their own staff told me they probably billed me because we canceled our account with them. Just paid over a $1000 bill to be done with them - Very unhappy with the service would not recommend them or do business with them again.
