You want your CDL? That’s the Academy to go!! I’ve learned there so much about trucks, just cool. A super knowledge they have and give it to you, a very cool team of experienced trainers, a driving ranch where you learn things easy to do, just follow their leads. I looked at other ones too but Alaska Driving Academy (ADA)had the better references and I know now why!!! And housing in price included, great!! If you wanna do the CDL do it right...all I can say! ADA👍

I recently graduated from these guys. I came into the program with some skepticism as I had started to get my cdl in Washington before switching companies and then moving back to Alaska. They have an amazing program. It goes above and beyond the standards. They break it all down for you. The instructors are also really great. They helped me unlearn things I should have never been taught and got me on the right path. Highly recommend these guys. A cdl isn’t just a license. It’s a took. It’s a skill you’ll be able to use the rest of your life. These guys showed us how to get the best from it and gave us the tools to continue on learning and set us up for a lot of carrier options.

I rarely write reviews. But I definitely feel the need to do one now. What an experience! What an education! EVERYTHING you want to know and learn about the trucking industry in addition to getting your Class A CDL is taught right here. This is your one stop shop. The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, professional, dedicated, and patient. SO patient. I appreciated all the encouragement from everyone and I loved loved loved all the hands-on training I received. They want you to learn. They want you to succeed. And you will. Just get out of your own way and trust their methods. I thought I had a leg up having had a Class B for the last 10 years. HA! Thinking this way only slowed me down and at times got in my way. Leave all you know or THINK you know behind. Shellee: Thank you so much for answering all my questions, responding so quickly every time and the great tips. You were the face of ADA for me and did a great job of making me feel welcomed before I even started classes. Chris: Thanks for always helping me see the bigger picture and for not letting me beat myself up too much. Your enthusiasm and passion for teaching is outstanding. Thank you for developing the school and for wanting to promote higher standards in the trucking industry. More importantly, thanks for caring. Richard: Thank you SO much for all your patience, explanations and guidance in helping me understand what I needed to do to make things happen with the tractor and trailer. You will be a voice in my head reminding me what to do for a while.

The Alaska Driving Academy staff are dedicated to teaching students new skills that not only get you a leg up into a new career but also instill a generous amount of confidence into the student as well. This is more than just a CDL driving school, it is an Academy. The class will teach you even more than what is expected of a Truck Driver. Besides obtaining my Class A Commercial Driver's License, I feel my skills as a safe motorist are also improved upon, and look forward to driving a tractor-trailer on my own very soon.
