Love the feeling of isolation here. So wonderfully quiet, except for the relatively rare sound of passing vehicles. All because there are no urban areas or interstate highways nearby! (Such a blessing in these troubled times.)

The happy Truck driver for Big Smoky Rest Area
It has a rest room. Yippee Trucks might night fit inside the fence and tree line surrounding it But you can park by the road

No toilet! How is this a rest stop? There are tons of open areas along the side of the road are they also rest stops. Why is this even on google. I am reviewing a patch of dirt. The dirt is of the usual gray color with rocks and yes you guessed it dust.

Halfway between Austin,NV & Tonopah,NV is a much needed rest area called Big Smoky this rest area has everything you need - except hot water !! Majestic mountains views, picnic tables, shade trees, pit toilets, & quiet. You are able to stay up to 18 hours to get yourself rested !!!!!
