Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Joplin

Okay for a cheap motel, rooms are pet friendly despite what some reviews might say. $10 pet deposit, which is very cheap compared to other hotels. Room was fairly clean, but shows it’s age. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Only complaint was room smelled like weed, and the bathroom felt like a broom closet that hadn’t been remodeled in years.

AWFUL!!!! We booked the jacuzzi suite over the phone. We arrived after 10:00 pm to be told that since we have a dog, we could not book the jacuzzi suite. They told my husband, "Since you were honest about the dog, I'm not going to charge you for it." We were booked into a different room, #239. We get in to discover running water out of the bathtub. It will not shut off. So we go down to the front desk. Someone else is on. We're informed that that room is out of order and shouldn't have been booked, so we are moved to a different room, #339. Had to fill out new paperwork, got charged for our dog, which is fine because that is their policy We were supposed to have a AAA discount, but it doesn't look like it was applied. We get to room 339, there is no water going to the toilet. My husband messed with it and got it to flush, but we have to mess with the tank every time we use it. I want to leave, but frankly we are exhausted after driving almost six hours to get here. It's now almost 11:40 p.m. and we are finally settling in, waiting to speak to someone in the morning. The furniture is stained and the hotel is out of date. Don't stay here!!!

It was an ok experience. The bed wasn't completely clean. Saw some hair near the pillows. The pool was decent. Open until midnight was good as we had a late night swim. The pillows were great as I don't like fluffy pillows. Finding the elevator after checking in was the hard part. Signs outside marking the elevator entrance would be suggested.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've stayed in some pretty cheap hotels but never had a room this bad. Bathroom door didn't even have a know. The bath tub had cigarette burns all over it and didn't look clean. The staff were rude. They charged our card an extra 53 dollars and told us we would have to take the issue up with our bank. For what we ended up paying in the end we could have stayed in a much nicer place.

I don't want to be the one to complain, but the room looked like it hadn't been clean in a long time. No light bulbs in the lamps and burn holes in the spread. It was a nonsmoking room. The people that worked there was very friendly. And the price was good.

The place could use some cleaning outside. Outside of one was room was a huge pile of trash. I didn't know if some people live here full time but the amount of trash was unbearable. And the hall way looks like they have not been swept in a few days, a lot leaves in side. The dust inside the room was unreal, huge crack in door frame. Had a hard time adjusting heater temperature. management needs to keep things a little cleaner.

This place was absolutely disgusting. We had ants in the refrigerator and roaches on the countertop. I will never stay at this place again. Now, I have to wash my clothes and throw my food away and pretty much sit at the laundromat while i drove almost 1000 miles to see my sister i haven't seen in 22 years. Never gave clean linens or towels. I'm very disappointed.

This place had many cockroaches and had bedbugs if you could rate this a zero i would the bathtub was dirty and had stains aswell the front deak was friendly about it but the room stinked and the towls had a stain

It was decent for the price, however there were ants in our room, the sheets and blanket were stained with what looks like ink. But otherwise room was good, and staff were friendly.

Ate at Dennys and as usual the service is outstanding and the food is always delicious 😋 and topnotch. I LOVE going there to eat . Buffy is a great hostess and she is always pleasant and friendly 😊 and eager to serve her customers. Great friendly atmosphere.

BUYER BEWARE... they do not sanitize each room after checkout. We stayed 2 nights. 1st night on 2and floor. No cases on pillows. 2and night 1st floor. Coffeepot was dirty and the hairdryer was full of hair. They are suppose to sanitize after checkout on top of cleaning. Ladies at the desk were friendly on 2and night but 1st night she was not. Be aware they force you to pay a 100 deposit, then tell you that you get it back in 7 to 11 business days

Upon walking into our room it smelt like feces. The heat didn’t work and the room was nasty. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and friendly but had her hands full trying to help everyone. I would recommend spending an extra $20 to stay elsewhere.

Pros: Clean rooms, very comfortable bed, great location right off of freeway and its surrounded by resturants Cons: Sink drained slowly (staff did offer to move my room since maintenance already left for the night), Loud neighbors (easy fix by turning TV on) and they do not advertise the $100 deposit. This is an excellent value, especially for how much they charge.

We come back every month for hometime here off semi. Marline works evenings and nights she is super sweet lady who goes over and beyond what anyone could ask for. We were in the hot tub and the rack was empty no towels she went down and brought us towels. Made sure we didn't need anything else and she is a very nice lady. 5 stars for her for sure. Friendly environment. Our room was 109 and it was clean and comfortable. Will always come back to this hotel.

This hotel was excellent because the staff is amazing! They took care of us when our car was broken down in Joplin and were so warm and accommodating. They make you feel secure and safe and are looking out for those who stay at the hotel. Thank you!
