Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint

Super busy, line was long but only waited maybe 20 minutes. We all got something different and none of us were disappointed. Cold beer, family friendly, cool pic on the walls, good vibe. Live music started at 7, and the big doors behind the stage were open, so lots of fresh air.

2 hour wait to order. Once inside, the atmosphere is awesome! I loved the plants and the aesthetics. The live band was very entertaining and played a good range of songs. Food was really good! We had the ribs, brisket and pulled pork and it was definitely worth the long wait. Additionally I had the broccoli salad which was delicious and the mac and cheese (I normally don’t care for it, but it was really good at this location!) staff were incredibly friendly also. Great experience, would definitely recommend!

Great atmosphere to hang out with friends and enjoy BBQ. However my ribs were dry and chewy. Well seasoned. Brisket was good and tender. Our fries were cold. I personally didn't care for the Mac n Cheese. Thought it was bland. Not much interaction with employees except for the girl who takes your order at the booth. She was friendly. I did see that as soon as tables freed up, employees were quick to clean up and wipe everything off.

We've been here 3 times (2 busy 1 not so busy) and the food NEVER disappoints. I mean WOW. Tender smoked brisket & wings until perfection with a unique selection of sauces. The menu is simple, straightforward, & made with care. The service isn't always the best but this one guy, Dre, makes up for everyone else's mediocrity with genuine interactions & attention to detail. live music (super loud) in the evenings. I recommend the wings or brisket with Alabama White and a side of Sweet Dixie. 10/10 recommend

I had the pleasure of going to Marin’s in downtown Nashville this past New Year’s Eve. I was never a fan of barbecue and would never willingly chose to eat it, but after hearing from a reliable source that Martin’s had some of the best barbecue in America, I gave it a shot. And I am so glad I did. I had the spare ribs (wet) which literally fell off the bone when I picked one up. I got a side of Mac and Cheese which was so good I ended up getting back in line to get another. Not only was the atmosphere amazing, but the staff was so kind. When I was in line to get a second helping of Mac and Cheese, Dre, the employee taking orders, gave me two drinks and another helping of Mac and Cheese for free just because I liked it so much and waited an extra 10 minutes in line. I cannot wait to go back to Martin’s and I cannot rave about it enough. It turned an almost vegetarian into a spare ribs lover and that’s worth writing a review for.
