If you want to move without tremendous stress and receive your stuff on time and without damage please DO NOT hire this company. I hired them to ship my household items from NY to Fl in June, 2021. It took them basically 6 weeks to deliver my stuff, everything was damaged or broken. Also, some boxes were lost. The company doesn’t take any responsibility for anything, the insurance company they work with (which is a third party) is a joke, they offered me $30 for 30k damage. The truck drivers they hire are completely unprofessional couldn’t make it into the development. They charged me $600 for a U-Haul. Finally, my favorite part is that the delivery guys decided that my couch is to big for my place and that it’s to heavy for them , so they offered me to give it to them. I refused to do it so they damaged it. The price of that couch is about 15k. A company like this shouldn’t exist. Please DO NOT hire them they MUST go out of business.

I have successfully received my items 30 days later. Thank goodness! I initially thought I paid people to rob me of my belongings. I have moved roughly 600 miles away. North Vane Lines gave me a reasonable quote of about 4200. I have spoken with Cheryle and sent her a video of my two bedroom condo which has 1080 sq feet. The actual price was 6300. This was to be expected. Please note I was selling my condo. I minimized my junk to showcase my unit. I didn’t even have a dining table or chairs. She itemized all items and gave me a quote with 80 boxes along with my furniture. She had mentioned the quote for the 80 boxes are roughly 1000 sq cubic feet. I have attached photos showing the entirety of my stuff when you account for the mattress that is outside on the sidewalk. The five little guys that picked up found everything to be difficult. This is big, that is heavy, so on and so forth. This is why this costs this and that. I live in an elevator building. Also they charged me for 1500 sq cubic feet The guys who came a month later were champs. Different guys. The three poor guys hauled everything where I asked. I only asked they put about five items upstairs due to the stipulation saying that a second floor service if only seven steps. How do you go up to the second floor with seven steps you ask? I had them place almost everything downstairs because of this. I was a bit terrified they where going to say you owe us another thousand or something. All in all they came to get my stuff when I needed them to. This was extremely important because I needed to exit my condo in order to sell it at a certain date. They might have held it somewhere for a month, but the job got done.

NEVER use North Van Lines! As you can see from the pictures they do not properly wrap furniture and breakable items. All wooden furniture was wrapped in plastic without any padding (which I was still charged for), 4 floor lamps were completely trashed along with 3 book shelves. Antique furniture was broken and most furniture had some type of damage. A brand new smart refrigerator ended up with a giant scratch and dent in one side, a dent on the front and scratches on the other side. They way they taped furniture left a horrible residue. This all happened after having to wait waiting a month for delivery. DO NOT use Alex. If he is your foreman during your loading portion, insist on someone else. He did not ensure that his workers were wrapping and storing things appropriately. The care of your belongings ARE NOT their priority or concern. I must add that the two gentleman who unloaded were absolutely amazing. They were also very upset with Alex and his crew for the very unprofessional and sloppy job that they did. Alex and his crew were also not able to get the couch sectional out of the house and they left giant holes in the walls while making this failed attempt. My mother and I were able to do it ourselves in about 10 minutes without causing any damage. Then the company wanted to charge an extra $500 to pick up this piece! NEVER, EVER use North Van Lines!!!

All arrangements were professional and expeditiously handled from estimate through packing and transport, delivery and set up. I was contacted and established an exact pick up date and time frame. The moving team was right on time. Excellent job padding and wrapping for protection. I was given approximate delivery date and later, specific day and time. Upon delivery, my stuff was unpacked with care by very courteous and careful movers. I was thoroughly pleased with North Van Lines personnel, attention to detail and professionalism.

My experience with North Van Lines was excellent from start to finish. We had never used a moving company before but all my concerns went away. The movers were very nice and personable. They were flexible about time and materials. Even finished the job earlier than what was projected which saved us money. Best moving experience till date.

I could not have been more pleased with the job the movers from North Van Lines did during my recent move. Very professional and very efficient moving team. They managed to move some heavy furniture into place without making any scratches. Great work all around and worth every penny. I highly recommend them for all moving purposes.

My moving experience with North Van Lines was so far the best experience I've had with movers. They were so friendly, efficient and handled my stuff with care. They made sure to call me multiple times before arrival to let me know when they were coming and when they were on their way. The rates are very reasonable and the movers are very trustworthy. Highly recommended moving company to hire out.

These movers were outstanding. They were on time, professional, packed everything up with care and moved it to my new residence in excellent condition. The experience to schedule the move was flawless and the price they gave me was very reasonable. Nothing was broken and their demeanor was impeccable. I won't hesitate to use them again.

I used North Van Lines for a friend of mine recommended to use it to move from NY to TX about 3 months ago. First it looks ok but eventually I had to pay a lot of the cost and got the a lot of items broken or damaged. Besides, I found some missing items and got someone else's boxes (I still keep them). I opened the claim for the damages but getting only $6.48 for settlement. I have more pictures and stories to show about its the worst quality moving service in my life.

This past week, I was making a big move from the northern Connecticut area to Charleston SC area. When I hired this company, I gave them my specific pick-up dates as well as the dates in which delivery of my goods could be made. I was told I would be contacted 24-48 hrs. prior to pick-up. It was down to less than 24 hrs. and I still had not heard from them. So I reached out to them- they had my final delivery date as my “pick-up date”. Once that was sorted out, the crew scheduled to pick up my stuff came. The 4-man crew picked up my stuff and had it neatly packed on a 26’ straight job truck. I was told that they would be bringing my stuff to NJ where they would be consolidating it onto another truck with other people’s things. When the newly packed truck arrived to my new residence in SC, my things were on a 53’ tractor-trailer that could not fit down the residential street where I just moved. I had specifically told North Van lines that I was moving to a single-family house in a residential neighborhood. The driver then told me that they would have to offload my stuff (again) to a smaller truck where they could shuttle it to my new residence- for a fee of $1400. At this point, the move was already nearly $2000 higher than the original estimate. The driver came up with a “solution”. If I would rent a local 26’ U-Haul truck and meet them at a chosen location, they would offload my stuff from the tractor-trailer onto the U-Haul truck and then deliver it to my house. The driver was going to send 2 of his men to help me then unload my stuff. Being as I did not have an additional $1400, this was the only financial move I could make. The driver also said that the 2 men were guys that he hired, and I would have to pay them cash directly, at $120 piece. So the $100 for the truck and the $240 for the guys was the only way out for me. My things were then loaded onto this U-Haul- BUT, the original contracted driver needed to move onto his next job (because these drivers get paid by the job- not by the hour), so they had to take off all of the blankets around my furniture and load them unprotected onto the U-Haul. When the 2 guys and the U-Haul arrived at my house, they did not have a dolly and had the hand unload my entire shipment. I too helped them unload because the extra set of hands meant we could get the truck unloaded more quickly. As things were being removed from the truck, there were various pieces of my fine furniture busted up- mainly the crown from my 125 year old Queen Ann Armoire had a snapped off and missing side piece, and one of my ornate oriental chairs was busted into pieces (I took pictures of everything). There were various other furniture bruises as well. Additionally, because they did not have a dolly, due to the weight, one of my dressers could not be brought upstairs. I instructed the guys to just leave it in the living room. I now have to sell this item because I have no one to help me get it upstairs. The icing on the cake was that because these 2 hired guys were not hired by North Van lines, but were hired by the truck driver- none of my furniture- my beds and my kitchen table were assembled- as was promised when I hired North Van Lines. I am a single woman who made this move entirely on my own and I had to put together my furniture, by myself. This company touts it’s self as a professional moving company that does not broker out the move- that the movers actually work for them. What they do not tell you is that the company hires tractor-trailer owner-operators whom then hire “their own” team of movers. These secondary movers are non-professionals. In my case, my furniture was touched and moved a total of 4 times! Its no wonder so many pieces were broken. Now North Van Lines will tell you in there multi-page contract, that is written in 5 point type that they will offload your stuff onto a tractor-tractor and that a shuttle fee may apply, if the tractor-trailer does not fit down your street- but that lingo is buried in that form.
