Older NJ turnpike rest stop but has all the essentials. Free Air is always great if needed!

As rest stops go the NJ turnpike does an acceptable job of keeping them up. Rest rooms are reasonably clean. Several fast food eateries including Burger King and Starbucks and plenty of junk food including chips and candy. Each travel plaza has Sunoco gasoline. No other brand noted. Given the numbers of people who stop, I have no axe to grind. Places like this are what they are. A good place to take a break and stretch your legs.

Not clean nor well maintained. The Quiznos subs were not up to par with a regular restaurant in terms of ingredients and friendliness. The TVs were playing sound but displaying no picture.

Typical fast food, etc... Avoid unless you REALLY need a traveling snack or to pee. Or to gas up And um... Watch for pick pockets and LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS

Richardson Stockton rest area is, like most rest areas nowadays, a relatively large rest area with several merchants to choose from. There are a collection of fast food restaurants as well as Starbucks. (Personally I'm not that happy about the taste of Starbucks coffee but it keeps you awake). The place is clean and well maintained. It's well worth a visit.
