Location is clean lots of parking and the have an EV charger.
Used the charger this weekend and it was free to charge added bonus.
Screen is a little hard to read with the sun spots. Not sure why all these public chargers don’t use the same cover Redbox uses on their machines to at the least stop some of the direct sunlight.

Coming back from a road trip to 16 different states and this rest area by far is the worst maintained. 4 of the ladies restrooms don't lock, two of the toilets are clogged, there is paper and baby wipes on the floor and the energy saving sky lights make the bathroom look creepy and gross. Definitely expecting better from the state and the people.

It was an easy in and easy out restroom stop. The bathrooms were clean. There were fun facts and tracks to look at and read about.

In Nipton, California, is Valley Wells Rest Area. It's also the state line between Nevada and California. There is a charging station for electric cars. I don't have one, but it's nice to know the ones who have one can recharge it here. There are several benches for you to wait.
The restrooms are ok. The area has signs and views of the desert part of California.
I saw a lot of crows in the area as well. It seems they are smart enough to stand right between the pointy ends of the spikes someone put to keep them off. It's a nice place to take a small hike around.

Clean round the clock. Vending machines not full most of the time. Large lot. We take naps frequently. Grounds and bathrooms always clean. No overflowing trash cans.
