Warbird Phoenix for Palmetto Truck Plaza
First,if you have any doubts about your semi truck parking skills it is not recommended to come. Strongly recommended for highly skilled truck drivers as this is a very small lot on par with most other plazas in the area. Second, all the commentary complaining about the racial make up of the staff, get mad at yourself your shameful bigotry is showing. That being said,a decent secured service stop with friendly staff in all of Miami if you want more then just a pay-to-park barren lot. The first two hours are free and $26 as of this posting thereafter. Be prepared to surrender your truck and trailer license plate numbers, equipment numbers, phone, and driver license numbers to secure your spot after parking. My only wish was this lot was much bigger but there's only so much land available so overall a good and secure place to park.

The service plaza is clean and has plenty of bathrooms. There is tourism information available, a gift shop and some fast food options. Starbucks is there, and a line because it appears to be the only coffee option. Outdoor seating is available.

Fairly poor experience. the Starbucks at this location didn't have any drinks and the staff at the Starbucks location was difficult to work with. I asked If multiple items were in stock which they replied no. Finally I asked what they did have and they said they only had iced or hot coffee. It felt like a situation that could have been avoided If they had begun with that, instead of having me keep guessing. Nothing particularly egregious but still a minor nuisance and demonstrates lack of customer service training. The rest stop overall was messy with boxes of product line needlessly everywhere. There was very limited staff that was able to assist potential customers. Restrooms were clean though.

Ghost town. Somewhat clean. It's like they don't want you to know their open, so they can avoid helping you.

Great rest area. We got coffee and an iced cinnamon bun at Paneras bake shop. The young man was very sweet and courteous. I wish I had gotten his name. We were there today, July 19, 2922 mid morning.

Roy Roger's was pretty good, got a family meal with 2 large sides and 4 biscuits. Chicken they did fresh. Sides could have been better.

There are two electric vehicle fast charging stations with two more being added. And there are lots of stores (mostly food) to keep one busy while charging. (PS avoid stations with only one charger - it might be busy or not even work.)

Clean enough, but busy rest area. Most of the food options were closed even around lunch time. Burger King or the market for packaged snacks.

I was prepared to give them 3 stars as it is an older rundown (on the outside) truck stop with few amenities. However I arrived at 0907 Sunday and departed Monday around 1300. Their sign said first 2 hrs free. I figured since I was there 1 day & 4 hrs they’d only charge me for 1 days parking and maybe $5-$10 for the extra hours but maybe not for the extra hours since according to their signage I should’ve gotten 2hrs free on Sunday so my 24hrs starts at 1107 and then another 2 hrs free on Monday so my next days parking wouldn’t have started til 1307 and I was gone by then or very close to it. But no they charged me for 2 days at $26/day. Very unhappy & don’t ever plan on coming back here!
