Founded in 1982 , Big Tex is the leading utility trailer manufacturing company in the United States. With a reputation of building trailers that are tough, sturdy, and long lasting. Big Tex’s diverse utility trailer line includes models ranging in capacities from 1,500 lbs. to 60,000 lbs. with everything offered in between. 2001 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Ricky Baker, President and CEO of Big Tex, began manufacturing trailers in 1976. Today, his original vision of manufacturing the highest quality trailers at the lowest cost possible has been realized.

The over 400 independent Big Tex dealers represent the most diverse line of standard and custom utility trailers available and have provided them to governments, consumers, and industry throughout the country. From its humble beginnings as a two-man company housed in a 3,200 square foot shop, Big Tex has grown to become the nationally recognized leader in the utility trailer industry with representation in virtually every state as well as Canada and Mexico. Currently Big Tex employs over 700 men and women working in all aspects of our business ranging from manufacturing to sales. Big Tex has corporate offices in Mt.Pleasant, Texas with manufacturing facilities in Mount Pleasant, Odessa, Texas, Cordele, Georgia, Caldwell Idaho, and Madill, Oklahoma, producing over 20,000 trailers per year.
