We were skeptical of this place because it's extremely dirty and there were bad stains on all the floors, we were just passing through and needed a night to sleep. We put all our luggage in the room and left for a while to go get dinner. The room was dirty, there was hair on the bathroom vanity and the whole hotel smells funny. We were discussing over dinner that this place is not the quality we're used to. I'm an exterminator and my wife asked me to check the room for bedbugs when we got back for dinner. Good thing I did! There were bedbugs on both beds and they were crawling on the baseboards and I found one on the curtain. I took a video of everything (I'll post the video or a screenshot if I can figure it out). I went and spoke with the wonderful, helpful attendant and she provided me with a refund. However I'm an exterminator and know that bed bugs are hitchhikers and get in your luggage and clothing. Since I'll have to treat all my luggage and clothing for bed bugs before I take anything into my home, I asked Super 8 to pay for my room at another hotel. The attendant at the desk called her manager Ken and he declined to compensate for a room at another hotel, at the very least to calm us down from this experience; I mean we're traveling with a 5 year old. The attendant did call around and helped us find another hotel to stay in, she was as helpful as she could be; I forgot her name. Bedbugs can travel from room to room, I would recommend staying clear from this hotel, the room we stayed in was 104.
