Our first impressions of the Budget Host, or Deluxe Inn, were not good. We should have turned around then and there. The lobby had a nauseating smell. The people behind the counter were friendly when you could find them. Then they couldn't find our reservation. It turns out they wrote it down on a random envelope in a pile on the counter. If that wasn't bad enough, our credit card info was on the same envelope. On our way to the room I got a great view of the pool. It had not been cared for in years. The water was dark green, the sides were cracked, and the concrete around it was cracked. When we got into the room we were just as impressed as we were with the fest of the hotel. The room looked like it was repainted a few years ago; but it was too much trouble to use masking tape. The heat/air unit emitted a similar oder to the one in the lobby. The furniture was in very poor condition. The bath tub was so small that I a hard time showering. I had to duck down pretty low to get under the shower head and I kept bumping into the walls, curtain, and ceiling. The coffe pot produced chunks of something, we didn't investigate that very far. There were a few things they did ok on. The beds were clean and neatly made. The refrigerator worked well. The wifi was good enough you could watch videos without interruption. Our stay was very quiet; I think that is because there weren't very many people there. I don't believe I will stay there again and I could not recommend it to anyone.
