I've had Borden for 4 years. Everything was fine up until about 2 months ago when they stopped picking up my trash. Then I call them and the guy breaks my trash can and takes one bag of trash. This place is a poor excuse for a business.

I cannot give a review for their service because I never used them. However, I can give a review on their business practices. I emailed Borden to get further information on services and didn't get a call or email back. I needed trash service, so I moved on to the next one after no response. Today there was a bin in my drive from the company we hired and Borden who never called back. My husband called to find out why we had their bin. They claimed I ordered it. No, I did not. I gave my information online to get a callback with more information on services.

They are very unprofessional, 1st they quoted me $15 for switching from my old trash provider to borden. After around 3 months got an invoice for $24/month. I spoke with their customer representative and they are claiming that $15 is very low for the service. But why did they offer that price in the first place. Borden is deceiving the customers, they are very un-professional, wouldn't choose this service again and i'm cancelling the service.

We have been using Borden a few years now and it seems us and our neighbors are always calling because we don't get serviced. We live on a culde sac with 5 homes right off a main road. One neighbor has another company which seems to get around our circle just fine, whether there is a vehicle on the circle or a lot of snow. We always get the excuse that the tuck couldn't get down the road. It can because the Borden recycling truck picks up the neighbors across from me. The rest of us are on the circle they won't drive around. Once again all of the garbage cans are over flowing this week as I was told they would were done for the day and won't be back this way until Tuesday. That they "might" pick it up. This is unacceptable and happens all the time yet we never see a credit on our bill when this happens. Come on, do better.

My husband was on the phone to set up service and everything seemed fine. Basic questions including ADDRESS. They sent paperwork for service and billing TO OUR ADRESS. They dropped off a trash can TO OUR ADDRESS. They picked up trash ONE time AT OUR ADDRESS. They didn't pick up this week. My husband called to find out what was going on and now they claim that we are outside of their service zone! Ridiculous!

I've used Borden for 11 years now, and I was pretty disappointed last week to learn that they were charging me $15 more per month than my neighbors. My bill has steadily increased over the last few years, so I figured it was worth asking my neighbor who just moved in a couple years ago what they pay. To their credit, Borden adjusted my invoice to what my neighbor is paying, but honestly, I feel like I should get a big credit for the 'overcharge' I've received over the last year or two. It feels kind of sneaky and is basically what Comcast does - it drives me nuts. Like you have to watch them, or they'll pull one over on you.
Moral of the story: Check what your neighbors are paying and make sure you aren't getting shafted!

Had a box full of styrofoam sitting next to my garbage can. The recycling driver showed up first for pick up today. Since they don't take styrofoam, they just dumped it out all over my landscaping, and took the box! I mean seriously? Could have just left it for the garbage driver. I called to complain, and received a "sorry". Thanks Borden, time to talk to your employees

I recently sold my home while under Borden's contract. The home owner was supposed to transfer service but never did. Borden charged me the 100$ bin fee for a non-return. When given the permission to retrieve their bin from the side of the house, they stated they can not go onto the property. I have personally witnessed 3 accounts in which the service men hauled items for me off my property and not solely at the curb. Their suggestion was for me to trespass and put it at the end of the curb for retrieval. On top of this, even though my credit card was on file and automatic payments were setup, the final invoice was not automatically debited and incurred finance charges. The customer service rep would not waive the charges. Borden's customer service is right up there with comcast/xfinity and as such a company to be avoided. Spend a little more and go with waste management.

Our recycling was skipped 2 out of three pick-ups. We have a new construction home and we're the only house on our side of the street. I believe the driver didn't care to make another trip around the block. I dont have time to chase down a service provider twice a month.

Different charge every month. Customer service is very rude and will just end the call if you state problems that need addressed. I give a 3 because they were reliable with pick up.Thats the only saving grace for this company.They are also more expensive than other services.
