Trish was so nice and I went with them based on that. She seemed thorough and agreed to the timeframe for the move. The packers are not packers. They shoved fragile items in with heavy things. Lampshades with heavy things not wrapped. They broke three plates and not sure what else yet as I’m still unpacking. I should have used Clover like I have in the past. They pack and unpack everything. I didn’t think to ask about unpacking. I just assumed they would do that as that’s what white glove service is. The movers were nice at times and rude when I questioned the bill at the end. It wasn’t what Trish estimated. She blamed the change in start time on their dispatch dept. Not my problem. They said my pack and move wouldn’t take as long as I said. I know my stuff and was right. Because they didn’t arrive until 12:30pm (supposed to be 9am) they didn’t get moved out until after 5pm. They arrived at my new building just before 6pm when the elevators and loading dock was closing. Luckily I got my building to stay open to let them move me in last night. They dropped it all and left. I heard them complaining about me in the garage. I would absolutely never, ever use them again under any circumstances. They moved something that wasn’t supposed to go and now I have to find another company to move it back to my old place in order to get my deposit back. I never write bad reviews, but I had to because this was an absolute nightmare experience. DON’T USE GM VAN LINES.

Moving was easy when we used G M Van Lines, and we recommend them to anyone needing a reliable moving. The whole crew was great, from the friendly and helpful person who answered the phone to the hardworking and happy movers. They showed up on estimated time, worked quickly, and made it easy for us to move. The service was great; I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Buyer beware. They are a shady operation and unethical. They gave us quote for $7,300 after they did virtual visit and after they packed the truck, they told me it was $12,500! They also said I had 2 options. Pay the $12,500 or they would take the extra weight that they claim they didn’t realize was there and leave in the house I was moving from and move the remainder to my final destination! Are you serious??? One of the movers told me this frequently happens with this company! To this day, I have never received apology and Dave,”the boss” is the rudest guy. Also, read their responses to poor reviews, and that tells you how they operate and how unprofessional they really are. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Tito was very communicative about my delivery that came from Miami to Chicago. They arrived on time, and delivered/assembled my dining room table with professionalism and care. If you need furniture hauled for long distances by a company that takes care of everything door to door, GM Van Lines is the company for you!

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! First, they will low ball the estimate and add numerous charges to the bill. My final bill was 50% higher than the estimate! Second, they will not tell you the truth about how your items will be shipped. In my case, they subcontracted the delivery to another hauler after telling me twice my items would not be transferred to another truck once put on the truck. Third, they will not cover items damaged during shipment. Three of my items were destroyed during the move and they have not responded to my requests to make an insurance claim. They will not take responsibility for their carelessness. This is a hack outfit and buyer beware.

The workers arrived on time and ready to work. All items were carefully and safely transported to our new location. It was absolutely lovely moving with these guys. Highly recommended!

Thomas and his team could not have been better.They were on time kind courteous and SO quick and efficient.They were in and out so fast packed and wrapped all of our furniture for us dropped all of our furniture exactly where we asked and even moved some extra furniture for us that we had bought from the past tenants. We couldn't be happier! Will definitely be hiring them again any-time soon!

Mick and his team were excellent! Could not ask for better service. Hard working and careful it’s our stuff. Price was also very affordable and customer service was beyond amazing. Highly recommend G M Van Lines without a doubt and will use them again!

I never have seen any more professional guys than the Jack crews. They always tried to be sure whether everything was done to my liking. The way they worked, it made me want to relocate again with the help of these guys. To avoid breakage, they wrapped and blanketed nicely. Consequently the whole moving procedure was outstanding. And I will definitely suggest others to hire them in the future. Interested to hire again.

My moving team arrived on time and did an excellent job wrapping up my items. They provided some extra boxes for items I was unable to pack myself. All items were delivered safely and were placed in my new living room too. I can’t tell you guys how much happy and blessed I am! So grateful!!
