A-1 FREEMAN RELOCATION INC

I used this company to move some of my household from Houston to Denmark. the furniture are of a very high quality Danish design, which I told them about when the estimator visited. Never the less the packaging was far from sufficient and evidently they packaged the shipping container to cause a lot of damage. the livery by the agent in Denmark which allegedly is a company owned by the same group was completely insufficient. they sent the truck with one man - the driver- only and he could not move the furniture to the 2nd floor. Damages were somewhat compensated, but this is not the type of furniture you repair. If damaged they loose their value and so did our BIG TIME DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE- THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL.

This location sucks. Am a truck driver and I came to drop a load and these people don’t even have a sign indicating the truck entrance. 🤯And all gates are closed.

Arrived 1 hour before my 8am appointment. Was given a door and unloaded immediately. Thanks for the quick unload, will deliver again.

My long distance residential move was made easier with the folks at A-1 Freeman moving. Also had a vehicle transported. The coordinator and the movers on both ends did a great professional job. Greg , Mike, and Kevin, thank you. I would definitely recommend this company for your moving needs.

A1 Freeman moved us across country last August. Every step of the way they were professional and helpful. From quoting the cost of the move to actually loading/unloading our furniture at the new house, they were clear in their communications and careful with our belongings. I researched multiple movers and we selected A1 Freeman because of their reviews and because of the way they engaged with us to plan our move. There were no surprises with the move, no hidden costs and everything was delivered exactly as promised.

We have multiple interstate moves under our belts, some went smoothly and some well, not so smooth. We however have never had any problems getting a quote or having them battle for your business. This was not the case for A-1 Freeman. We reached out to them about our move to Florida for work and advised we would be paying out of pocket for this move, however our employer stated they get a discount and to let them know about this. We got a callback and set up in house quote and the gentleman was Bill Brock. He arrived on time and When he arrived he said he was here a few months before and he did not have to do the walk through again. To be honest don't really remember as earlier in the year that opportunity fell through so we did not relocate at that time. I told Bill that there were many items not going this time and he said would work up a quote and get it back to me and we could go from there with items not going. I also told him about the discount and he started giving me a song and dance about what it could be but had to check with the corporate office, which I responded with please check into this. Well a week passed and no quote, not emails, no communication what so ever. I then reached out to him and he advised he should hear something by Monday, as this communication was on a Friday. Monday came and nothing nor did any type of communication for the rest of the week. I then sent an email again, on Friday stating how his company does not care about customers and that I was going to be reaching out to management as well as our corporate HR to advise the lack of service from this company. He responded with WE CARE, will get you the quote tomorrow. Well tomorrow came and went, and so did weekend, if fact, I gave him another 4 days and still no quote. I sent him one more email thanking him for the non service, and his response was blaming me because I got 6 or more bids and that his company would be too expensive. Considering he never gave me a quote and we did not discuss what any of the other quotes I received were, there would be no way to know if his company was the most expensive, unless he just did not want the business. Not sure why unless has something to do with asking for discount for the company that we work for. If this is how they work I am glad they don't have our belongings on one of their trucks, who knows what could have happened.

Like a lot of the reviews state, A-1 Freeman was excellent. I’ve done multiple moves previously being in the military and this was the best move I’ve ever done. We moved from Texas to North Carolina from a 3bdrm home with my family of 5. Between Mike coordinating and Chris (driver) and his team packing, loading and unloading, these guys were top notch throughout. You really couldn’t ask for a better experience. I would absolutely recommend them to all my family and friends. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

Every thing went real smooth. The packers and movers on both side of move were excellent! Both Mike and Bill were both awesome! They were always available to answer questions! I would recommend this company!

I had a great experience from the consultation to the move. It was a very reasonable cost for excellent service. The crew members were very professional, patient, courteous, careful, expedient, and offered good suggestions. They even walked back through the house with us to make sure we liked how everything was placed and offered several times to move something if we had changed our minds on placement.

I received three in-house walk-through moving company bids for a nearly two thousand mile cross country move. North American Van Lines via A-1 Freeman were chosen based on both price and an excellent interaction with Move Consultant Bill Brock. He did a great job answering all of my questions and providing useful advice. It was clear that Bill is a seasoned professional that understands the business inside and out. He offered to have free slightly used moving boxes (along with tape and packing paper) delivered ahead of time, which saved me several hundred dollars. Bill's estimate of the number and size of boxes needed was spot on, and the calculated weight of 14,000 pounds of cargo was incredibly accurate (truck driver said actual weight was 13,860 pounds). The responsiveness and customer service provided by Bill was outstanding. The next phase involved the Move Coordinator Mike Byerley, who called before, during, and after the move to check on how things were going. Mike is also a long term moving professional with great communication skills and follow through. The last stage of the move involved the Driver Luis Gomez and his movers (loading and unloading crews). They were prompt, courteous, respectful, and efficient, making the moving process on both ends easy and effective. Moving is a team effort and Bill, Mike, and Luis delivered with performance and results.
