Days Inn by Wyndham Joplin

I never had the opportunity to stay here. I am the head of a large group. I was trying to book 15+ rooms for 2 separate stays. I called the hotel directly to get pricing and availability for the dates I would need. I was told that a manager would have to do that. They took my number and said a manager would call me back. One day goes by and I didn't get a call back. So I called back and told them that nobody ever called me back and I would like to book my stay. To my surprise the lady told me "that a manager not calling back seems to be the thing around here". She then said "try La Quinta they do well with large groups and I am sure they would love to have you". I was speechless and after a few seconds I said "thank you" and hung up. If this is any indicator of how the actual hotel is then I would recommend AGAINST STAYING HERE!

The people at the front desk were kind and helpful. They always wore a smile for us when we went up to them for check-in, info on things to do, where to eat, etc… the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s conveniently close to gas stations and the highway, yet quiet so we could sleep well. If you need to spend a couple days in Joplin, you should pick the Days Inn Joplin ;)

The man and woman working the desk last night at check in were so welcoming and nice. Absolutely great attitudes for working the desk. Property is an older one, so it’s kinda plain. However the rooms are nice and very clean. Thanks for making this one day away from home a nice experience. Your efforts are greatly appreciate, especially in these days.

Front desk ladies were new I think but were very friendly. Room was OK but they need to put a notice in the room where the cable box is located. Also long walk to an outdoor pool and there are no instructions how to open the lock to the gate. Also, there were no shaded tables or lounge chairs. We did have a patio door but no chairs or tables due to facing the parking lot. Could have easily mounted a picnic table shared by 2 rooms at least. We were disabled smokers and we could not climb their stairs (no elevator) but they were able to get us in the downstairs room with the patio door. May not go back unless no other choice. Pancakes with 3 types of syrup were small but really good!! Bagels and cream cheese, cereal, yogurt (strawberry and blueberry), I think toast and instant oatmeal, and milk, oj, apple juices.

Would’ve Been A Good Stay if Not for the Creepy Male Housekeeper… I found this hotel using my Wyndham app while traveling. We needed a room very late on a long road trip. Front desk service when we checked in at almost 2AM was great. Polite and very helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Beds were super comfy. The trouble started when a male housekeeping staff member tried to open our door at 7:30am with no warning. He came back again at 8:30 and if the security lock hadn’t been engaged he would’ve been in the room. When I opened the door, he quickly offered me extra towels. I then called the front desk and explained what happened and the woman who answered explained she would tell him not to come back. At 9:45, he came to the door AGAIN. I opened and asked what time check out was. His response was, "GET OUT.” I again asked what time checkout was and he said 11:00. I would certainly recommend if you are a woman traveling alone to NEVER stay here. I’m also filing a complaint with Wyndham as I am a Gold Member and booked through their site.

This motel is definitely not sound proof. You can hear everything above you. So if you want some peace of mind ask if there are kids above you or stay on the second level. Just horrible

Good stay. Mostly clean. Friendly folks. Good breakfast. Fold your sheets & beds will look crisp & fresher.

The top blanket on the beds at this hotel are not washed. Floors are not vacuumed. This hotel is very cheap and has plenty of amenities, and if the rooms were cleaned on a regular basis it would be a very pleasant stay but as it stands I do not recommend it.

Very comfortable room. However, it was an "accessible" room, but had no way for a physically disabled person to bathe or shower. The room has a standard tub and shower with no bench nor hand-held shower. It did, however, have appropriate assist bars. Front desk personell were friendly and breakfast was nice and fresh.

Nice place to stay. Upper floors have their own balconies. You can start to see the age though. Hair dryer not secured to wall and shower rod coming lose from wall causing floor to flood. But all in all it is a nice place to stay. I would stay here again.
