This is the worst company I would recommend that you not come to this company they are very unorganized all the drivers are quitting. They talk a good game to get you here and once here it is something totally different. I was supposed to be a regional driver out of Dallas I get here and they have OTR some of everywhere. Do not I repeat do not come work for this company I promise you will regret that decision. Even the places where they have you to deliver to don't like the company. Plus the equipment is trash.

An office staff employee named Jeremy in the Spartanburg office called a black driver the n-word while arguing with him. It happened in front of multiple people. The black driver responded by telling the office employee he would fight him if he said that to him again. The black driver was given the option to quit or get fired. While the employee who used the racial slur (in front of the fleet manager I may add) was not reprimanded at all. The fleet manager Beverly did nothing to resolve the issue. It's obvious this company endorses racism from their white employees. This happened on the Eastman account in Spartanburg, SC. There is also multiple evidence of Beverly punishing black drivers for the exact same situations that white drivers go unpunished for. A white driver drove the container in the picture to the yard and nothing was said to him, but a black driver brought in a container with 1 blown out tire and breakdown pay was withheld from him. Pictured are the 2 blowouts by 2 different drivers. The one with 2 blown out tires was driven by a white driver who was not penalized. The other picture is the blowout from the black driver who had pay withheld from him. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK FOR if you expect the slightest bit of fairness or equality to be shown.

Worse 6 months I ever did with a company but it’s not even the company honestly my dispatchers were terrible 2 of em were Monica & The other guy Mike he just sits around and lies on you and Monica messes up pay every week they both deserve to be fired and them 2 don’t work with you AT ALL or even try to help you be great it’s all about them and they will try to leave you out and miss hometime on purpose whatever helps them sleep at night they don’t care they will ruin your entire health so if you have them 2 I advise you to switch to another account ASAP

Went to landair in Tennessee took me 3 hours to get there they took my car keys and abandoned me because I didn't pass their test to all drivers to go there do not waste your time it is a trap these people are no good

Driver code: FOWB (formally) I was hired on as a switcher/driver with landair at an account in Jamestown, NC where I was a yard switcher. I never left the yard or should I saw delivered a load with the yard switcher truck. The only time I left the yard with the switcher truck was to take a 10 min drive or as google maps says 6.2 miles to get fuel (which never worked. I had to call the fuel desk EVERYTIME to get the fuel paid for) which usually took about 30 to 45 mins out of my work time when there was a gas station right across the street where for the past 3 years, the switcher truck was feuled up and back to work almost immediately. The 2 times I was asked to take a load out i never denied it and always did so in a regular day cab for safety reasons. The company decided shortly after I started that they were going to put a Qualcomm in the switcher truck (which is absolutely unheard of) just to keep up with my time so it would not have to manually be put into the system anymore. I told the company that this would be a bad idea because the Qualcomm would not be set up for a yard truck and would constantly put me in driving if I went over the 5 mph setting that landair sets and would prevent me from having hours to help fill in as a driver and take a hot load. They didn't care and put it in anyway and immediately it caused problems. Not only this... landair, being a professional trucking company, first told me that the yard truck was legally registered to driver on public road ways... it was not and I had to call the state troops office in NC to get the correct information IN ORDER TO FORCE LANDAIR TO COMPLY. Landair tried to say that the Indiana yard permit was what made it legal to driver on the public road way and NC said they didn't even know what that was nor did they recognize it in the state of NC. Further more, landair did not have any company USDOT or company logo on the truck which is required by law. So that alone is 1 thing that landair (a professional trucking company) tried to pull over which would have ruined my record. Then comes the manager named Andrea Jones out of Atlanta, Georgia who LOVED to flirt and talk about her candy lady parts with her employees who by the way were all married which created a very unprofessional and very uncomfortable working environment. Whenever she would ask me to do her a favor I was always willing to the job because it was my job and being an hourly employee, it was required of me. I never refused to step up SO LONG AS I then had the time because remember (I was now under the mercy of the qualcomm...for some reason in a switcher yard truck with a top speed of 45 mph and never left the yard except to get fuel and never went 150 miles away from its terminal location.). The last time Andrea Jones BEGGED me to take a load for her, there were only 3 drivers there that day and the load she asked me to take was a load that is scheduled to leaved at a certain time every single day. So while she knew about this load and she knew about the driver shortage, she never called in for a flex driver to come and do the load (a flex drivers job is to be available everyday for these situations) and she decided to call me at 1350 to take a 1400 arrival time load which was about 30 minutes away and the company DOES NOT EXCEPT LOADS AFTER 1400. I told her I would do it but they would not except it and that I had to do a 30 min rest break to have the time to get it there. Andrea Jones told me not to worry aboutbit and to take it and do my break there. I told her no because thats a federal DOT violation and a log book violation and I was not going to chance myself. She got very moody with me and asked me why i didn't take my break sooner in the day... i had 3 minutes left on the qualcomm untill I had to take a 30 min rest break which I had then gone off duty to take. I dont take breaks on my qualcomm because the job is very demanding and unpredictable and they wonder why they have a very high turn over rate for that position which I did not mind in the least. While on private property, I am not

I've only been driving for less than a year, so maybe this is normal, but I expected better. When my mother got sick recently I asked for a couple of days off and he told me I could have 48 hours off or clean out the truck. Seems like a lot of work just for a few days. When I asked him how it goes at the holidays because holidays are a big deal for our family. He said it's the same thing. If you want more than two days off you have to clean out the truck, even if you have vacation.

We all know that Trucking recruiters lie, but these folks take the cake. I told them our number one concern was home time, because I have a family. They assured me that they were focused on home too. In the 7 months I was there, it was hell trying to get 2 days off. Their idea of home time is 34 hours, unless you spend 17 or 18 days on the road, then they'll give you 48 hours. If you go to work there, kiss your friends and family goodbye, cuz you won't have time for them anymore.
