Meriden US 85 Rest Area

I needed a place to take a break from the drive. This rest area was clean and well maintained.

Nice rest area. Out in the middle of our ride to Colorado. Great views, got restrooms. Good stop and place to stretch.

This is a good rest area for overnight stops. It’s open land all around, and a low traffic highway, so it’s very quiet. Nobody will bother you. The lighting is intensely bright. Good sunrise view. As of April 2022, there’s no Verizon service but AT&T works.

It's been about a year since I've rested here overnight, though through the course of years I've honestly lost track of how many times this great little rest park has been taken advantage of. Certainly a couple of dozen times by now. Most of my traveling these past several decades have found me coming short on my rest while heading back to the middle of the Nebraska panhandle, so with 100 miles or so remaining to get home I'd park it, wash up inside, crawl into the back of my van and rest for 7 or 8 hours. This rest park is my favorite in all of Wyoming, and I do believe I've paused at all of them these last 30+ years, certainly most of them at any rate. It's always clean, not overused, and quiet for some good resting. We stopped here overnight as a huge storm was going through. It's well lit, clean and nicelyaid out!

Bathrooms were very clean and warm. Parking lot was cleared of snow for easy travel.

A much needed rest area on the back highway. This area could use a few more! Always kept up and clean!
