Weight Stations

Show On The Map

Dcontrol weight stations directory is a comprehensive list of locations where commercial vehicles are required to stop and undergo weight and safety inspections. These stations are typically operated by state or local governments and are designed to ensure that commercial vehicles are in compliance with weight restrictions and safety regulations.

Weight stations are strategically located along major highways and interstates to provide convenient access for commercial vehicles. During an inspection, trucks are weighed to ensure that they are not exceeding weight limits, and safety checks are performed to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition and meets safety standards.

A weight stations directory can help commercial truck drivers to plan their routes and avoid potential delays caused by unexpected weigh station inspections. The directory may include information such as location, hours of operation, and inspection requirements.

It's important for commercial drivers to comply with weight and safety regulations to avoid fines and penalties, as well as to ensure the safety of themselves and other drivers on the road. A weight stations directory can be a valuable resource for commercial truck drivers to stay informed and compliant with regulations.

Quite possibly one of the most sophisticated scale houses out there. Before you even approach the scales, on the highway are many sensors that read your plates, your toll tag, RFID sensors read just about anything it can in your wallet, and they even snap a pic of your face,...all this happens before you even pull into the station itself.

Wonderful guy working the weigh station. We pulled in with a horse trailer and horses. We had a tire going bad on the trailer with no way to change it. He came out and offered to help by calling IMAP and they came out and saved the day. Thank you! guys..

The worst place you can ever be pulled into. Their scales are not accurate, got into a scale house in Arkansas and the weight was only 1000 lbs over on drivers axles was excused and issued a warning. (Legally driving at 78,900) Pull into this scale house (10 miles ahead) and it is 2000 lbs over. They argue about their scales being certified but so was the one down the street. Corrupt place that takes money from hard working truck drivers. Don’t take into consideration your previous scale ticket. Do not issue warnings even if you are new, in debt, and going through a crisis of your own as an owner operator. If I could rate this place negative I would. (Every time we have passed through this place it’s been a citation)

One of the cleanest restrooms of a rest stop I have ever gone to. The water smelled quite weird, hence the 'Do Not Drink Water' sign. Overall fine.

I sometimes stop here for a nap. I am a night driver so it's very rarely open. I like weigh/inspection stations because they are easy off and easy on, plus unlike rest areas and truck stops, are rarely full.

This rest stop was very convenient on our way to Maryland. There was enough parking, and the restrooms were clean. There were also some brochures available for places of interest in the area. We were glad that we didn't have to get off the highway to find a restroom on our trip.

Sign out front lists all the things which the Commonwealth prohibits you from doing rather than a list of all the things which you may do at this rest stop. Besides that, most of the vending machines were in working order. The landscaping and masonry were very nice. The bathrooms were clean. There are picnic tables outside for anyone who in December wants to die from pneumonia.

Truck Driver2 for Bolingbrook Weigh Station NB
Why can we, as drivers, only park here when being inspected? When the scales are closed, why can we not utilize the large parking area for a safe place to rest? Winter is coming and it is hard enough to find parking as it is, during harsh winter conditions, it will be even harder. I sincerely hope you reconsider allowing truck drivers a place to rest when the scales are closed. This area is already extremely limited in truck parking and the DOT is supposed to also care about our safety, as well as the publics, are they not? Please remove the "no parking unless authorized " signs and allow us a safe place to rest.
