Alcorn Sage Schwartz & Magrath LLP

It’s going to be hard to give any type of review, let alone a good one. Because I would have to have contact with this firm or it’s attorneys to know if its a good firm and so far I haven’t heard from anyone from this office. On 4/21/22 Decatur County courts appointed Patrick Magrath to be my attorney for an appeal, I had to find this out on my own, the courts didn’t let me know, my original defense attorney didn’t let me know and Mr. Magrath or anyone form the office of Alcorn, Sage, Schwartz & Magrath didn’t let me know. I found out about a month after my trial and and very close to the deadline to file the appeal. I sent Mr. Magrath emails and called, I still to this day 6/16 haven’t heard anything and that is very concerning, especially since Mr. Magrath was appointed by the State / court. It seems like they just don’t care. There was so much that went on with my trail and shady things with my original defense attorney. It makes me wonder if the trial was set up against me from the beginning, but Mr. Magrath wouldn’t know any of this because that would consist of someone asking me questions. I didn’t get a fair trial and now I don’t feel like i’m getting a fair appeal or at least someone that cares and is actually going to try to really win. To me it seems like Mr. Magrath would want to ask me questions before filing the brief with the appeals court. So I wound not recommend hiring an attorney from this firm.

Ashley is very knowledgeable and her approach was very comforting when it came to my situation. Very commendable individual and you can tell that she cares about her position/clients. Highly recommend!
