Budget Inn

If zero stars was an option, it would’ve definitely been my choice. I was given a room with a broken bed, patched walls that were never painted over. Broken A/C and visibly dirty. When I went to the front office to request a room change I was told they didn’t have any rooms available but it was clear that there were vacant rooms. I was told the room had recently gotten a brand NEW A/C but there’s no way that that A/C was “brand new”. I was told they couldn’t do anything anthing about it. I asked for CLEAN SHEETS! & was told they were NOT supplied with extra sheets. They wouldn’t give me a refund. They would change me from rooms or give me clean sheets! I was given the management email and was told to contact them about the issue. ABSOLUTELY NEVER COMING BACK!

Room aren’t nice but they’re clean. Saw several roaches. Shady people all around you and noisy all hours of the night. Normal for a metro area when rooms are cheap. All of that is as expected but the reason for the 1 star I was double charged for my stay. To get the reservation I had to use a third party. I showed proof of this with bank statements. Called repeatedly. The booking agent says it’s the motels responsibility the motel says it’s the booking agents responsibility. After months of fighting with these people NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK!!! I could have disputed the charge with my bank and waited for a replacement card. I wouldn’t trust the people behind the counter with any card information.

This motel needs a lot of work. The establishment looks abandoned. The room that we got, the bed had dip in the middle. U sink right in the middle. The fan in the bathroom was throwing black smoke. They only had small towels and we had to wait a whole day to get fresh towels. They had to wash the ones that they collected from cleaning the rooms. Even though it was a last minute trip. This was horrible 😢

I mean it doesn't make sense to expect anything much. I'd stayed here several years ago too and knew not to expect much. It was priced a bit higher than normal due to some Austin event, but was no where close to how over priced everything else got. I'd needed a quick place to stay, and I mean I got what I expected a stuffy smelly dirty room. Didn't even care that the blankets have cig burns. Gross but not surprised. The two people at the front id say we're gruff but not rude. Now the only thing that DOES bug me is on the first day I asked for no house keeping, even signed a little paper. I'm not a morning person, not good with strangers, and just don't like my space intruded on. Every day so far on my bit more than week long book house keeping would (mostly knocked sometimes burst in without) come. The first time they thought we needed to check out. But Every time they would come and either wake up either my brother or I and then make us sign another and another no house keeping waiver which is obviously pointless. Which was annoying . though other than that I got what I expected, it's more of a motel for emergencies than anything else to me.

Great prices. Most front desk help is awesome. Nice clean rooms.

The room I was at has a distinct smell and the bed had debris of some kind on the blanket and under it as well. Dont get me started with the 26 rules that this place has which is ridiculous. Will probably never come back to this place again.

Pretty standard as far as motel rooms in the cheaper end go. The front desk staff has been awesome each time I've stayed here.

Believe it or not, my room was very clean, I could smell the linen being washed and maintenance men were in the ground renovating. My check-in was very nice and overwhelming affordable.I ask for privacy and that is what I got.I even got a courtesy wake up call an hour before check out without asking.great.The Television had all of the premium channels...no extra charge.wow.My check out amazing with a refund of my deposit.The only con......The stigma of the area before the clean up of the neighborhood. Great job Budget.

Stayed here one night and I was very impressed with the non-smoking room. It was very clean, smelled clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The outside does need a facelift, but it was worth the stay. No issues with anyone. Vehicle was safe. Oh and the Mexican restaurant next door is fabulous!! I would recommend and will come back if I ever need a room in Austin again. Thank you Budget Inn!!
