The people are ok to work with and to work for. Equipment is in good shape but i think the owner gets the drivers good equipment in place of adequate pay. The pay is by mileage and absolutely pathetic, definately one of the worst paying companies around. Its like .44 cents a mile after a couple months which dosent cut it. 60k maybe 70k at the maximum isnt a good position in my eyes to run the way you do, take alternate routes, sometimes much longer because the owner dosent want to pay tolls. The national average is .64 cents a mile. If the pay would be increased to that, it would be a 4 star company.

Great company to drive for. I worked for Calex for just over two years and would still be there if I didn’t move away from the area. Everyone was great to work with - dispatch, safety, recruiting, payroll and the shop guys are all awesome. I would definitely recommend driving for them.

Just witnessed someone get run off the road by one of their drivers. Not an accident. Passed him 5 minutes later and he is swearing and banging his hand cause the person in front of him is doing the speed limit.
