Goodwill Houston Select Stores

Update: We were notified from corporate that there was an investigation and the worker has been terminated, very pleased with how HR handled this case and followed up. My husband and I were regular shoppers here, we love almost everyone that works here, the managers are great, especially Anne, Liz, Carl, Charlie, and Eldridge are exceptional workers. The reason why I am giving a one star review is because this past month there was an incident where my husband was harassed verbally and (almost) physically by a cashier that claims my husband was "staring at him". We believe his name is Bryan. He wears golden earrings and a golden necklace. My poor mother happened to be with us and was very distraught. The main manager came out to alleviate the conversation and take the employee to the back to chat. The onsight police officer did absolutely nothing and did not even take interest in the event even though we communicated with him that we were feeling threatened, he told us he did not know what was happening and walked away. Before this experience we were checking out $400 worth of items and he told us he "was going to take his sweet time" because it doesn't matter how fast he checks us out for him he gets "paid by the hour" and he make take "30 minutes or longer". I have contacted corporate and they have not responded. First we talked to Julia whom was very nice and compassionate. She forwarded our email to the appropriate people and said I would get a response shortly. Here we are 6 days later with no response to a very critical situation. We went from being everyday shoppers at this goodwill, to we will no longer shop there knowing that cashier is working there. We spend at least 1K per month at this goodwill as resellers. Our money will now go to Salvation Army, Out of the Closet, and we will continue to shop at Goodwill Outlet on Longpoint.

The location is divine. Management see and hear you. The trained staff are all smiles always ready to help you find that hidden treasure. Goodwill has done their homework over and over again that's why their customer service is Paramount.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I have shopped at this location several times, I love this store but I have noticed that they change prices on items at check out, I see others have complained about the same issue I don't understand why this is going on my best advice is to pull up your calculator and make sure you are aware of each items price so that you can compare when you check out. I want to report this but I'm pretty sure my complaints will go unnoticed, so the least I can do Is warn others that like to thrift shop.

This place is well organized and has some awesome hidden goodies if you take the time to look! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. There's not much parking at busy times but there's available street parking beside it. Plenty of awesome books and DVDs too. Plus there's daily deals!

I love to thrift. And this location is one of the best in the city. Great selection. Amazing prices. Well organized. Helpful employees. Parking is a breeze. Mens section is a bit small. But the women's section is huge. The store is one of the smaller stores in Houston but has a great selection of items.

Andrea made me feel like I was at Nordstrom. I asked her if they had what I needed and she found everything for me. She like actually cared about me. We also talked about some personal things and it just really warmed my soul. Anyways great selection and great people.

The shopping here isn’t bad, but the extremely crowded parking lot and store makes me want to avoid it. Also, the staff accepting donations have been really rude to me before. No one has ever once said thank you for donating, and I’m rarely asked if I’d like a receipt. The parking lot will be so full and impossible to navigate that you have to stop your car in front of the donation part and run really quickly to drop off your items, but the staff won’t help you unload them or even acknowledge you’re there, and then they get an attitude when you place your items on the first empty cart you see, because by this point 10 seconds later you have like 4 cars waiting for you to move out of the way. One time they accepted an item, but then chased me down back to my car to tell me they wouldn’t accept it after all, and then told me to come back and get it. If I donate in the future I will likely just come before they are open to avoid the rude staff members.

Staff very helpful

Great for house wares, clothes, shoes and accessories. Their prices are low, to boot.

Smart people don't pay retail price I'm just saying 😂
