Room terrible, staff unresponsive. Neither phone in room worked. Sink was stopped up on entering room. Reported both to night clerk, he basically said tough

Very clean hotel priced right rooms are clean staff very friendly and good location.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for thanksgiving and I will never do it again.. first of all I didn’t even get the room I asked for, but I didn’t complain. They double charged me and my boyfriends cards. When I called to get it fixed. I was told to call back because the girl was busy. Then I called back the next day the same person told me to call back because she was busy and she was rude. I will never stay here again and the room wasn’t even nice.

The accommodations are great however I felt that we were discriminated against bc we had children- let me explain. On our first morning there, we went to breakfast at 8.40 (its listed that it goes till 9). Upon arriving to the eating area, we were the only ones in there. I asked the attendant of there was a chance we could turn on a tv that was off located just off the eating area. She replied that she would get the route to turn it on but that it would be turned off promptly at 9. I asked for clarity, even tho breakfast ended at 9 could we will sit and eat there. She repeated herself that breakfast ended at 9. I told her that I understood shed be pulling food up at 9 but did that mean she needed us out of there at that time? (We have an 19 month old and a 4 month old). She said that breakfast ended at 9 and we could take food to our rooms. I asked one more time for clarity, 'if we sit down, can. We still be eating after 9, bc it sounds like you're telling us the space closes as well'. Sithout making eye contact she said 'I told you breakfast closes at 9 and this is the breakfast area'. I asked for her name and told her I'd be sharing my experience with corporate and immediately she changed her tune. Before telling me her name she said 'I'm pulling food up at 9 but you can be eating'. Almost all the food was pulled and put away at 8:55 (if you're going to be a stickler for the rules, then at least abide by them, wait till 9 to pull beakfast up) and when another customer (childless) came in and started making her waffles at 9.05, Sharon was quiet as a mouse and didnt share that breakfast hours were over- a stark contrast to the 4 times she told me- it felt implied that we needed to be gone- and her suggestion that we go back to eat in our room. CLEARLY guest experience is not a priority here (and with two young babies, it wouldn't have cost you anything to just turn on a tv). She later came and told me that her boss only have them an hour and a half to clean up the area- still doesn't account for the awful customer experience. Maybe shes biased against kids, maybe they make her job take longer, regardless, as a family we did not feel welcome. Tomorrow we will be eating breakfast out and when we get home I'll be mailing this experience to corporate- if this were my hotel, I wouldn't want folks having similar experiences. This was such a disappointing experience bc we loved the accommodations but Sharon's attitude was really off putting and bc of it, we wont be back here again.

I've stayed at this hotel for 10+ years every October the the Martinsville race, when it was a Comfort Suites it was great. This year I made my reservation and my husband and I both got sick two days before our stay. I called to cancel and they said because it was race weekend I needed to cancel 14 days ahead of time. Well, unfortunately I didn't know we were going to be sick two weeks ago. Due to the guy at the front desk (should have gotten his name) poor customer service skills, we will find another hotel to stay at from now on.

Guys.... not sure HOW this place could have an overall 4 star rating but CLEARLY the ones giving that rating don’t have very high expectations. The floors are dirty. Carpet is stained and worn. Walls and doors look like it’s been years since they’ve been painted. And staff does the bare minimum to answer questions and be very unhelpful. Just a simple phone call to the front desk took HOURS to get through even through central reservations. Wasn’t the worst but SURELY you could find a better place to stay ..... would not recommend!!!!!

The employees are always very kind to my grandmother who lives here. She complains about everything in her old age and they’ve always gone above and beyond in making her feel welcome! Love them.
