I changed my review of this company to 0 stars. They are very unprofessional and two faced. They will tell you one thing and mean another. There is absolutely no communication whatsoever. After leaving orientation you are left out there on your own to figure it out. Good luck if you decide to work at this place.

Stay away from this company. They are liars and you will only get 2200-2800 miles a week if you are lucky! ALL LOADS ARE LIVE LOADS AND LIVE UNLOADS. You will deliver at 7 am somewhere and not get a load until 13:00 the next day. They do not do like most companies do. Have your load scheduled to deliver and pre plan you for a reload within the next few hours from your delivery appointment. You will sit around a lot and they will talk to you like dirt. Trust me after 50 years of being in the industry, this is by far the dirtiest and worst company I have every worked for. STAY AWAY!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!

I have had a very good experience so far as an experienced new driver at Leonard's Express out of their Caldwell, Idaho Terminal. The people in the office are all so welcoming and friendly. The shop crew is top notch. Pay and benefits are great. I also love my Northwest lanes and the load planning has been courteous in giving me enough time to pick up and deliver without sacrificing the time I need to shower and take care of my dog on the road. The only reason I'm giving Leonard's 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to choose between the sign on bonus and the tuition reimbursement benefit which isn't an unfair policy if that was made clear beforehand but it does not say that anywhere on their ads or on their website and I didn't find out until after I completed orientation. I also wish they ran more 13 speed transmissions. I was hoping to get a 13 speed but my recruiter couldn't promise anything. Unfortunately I'm in an auto for now but I sure do miss driving a standard transmission. No company is perfect, there are things I would change but I don't know what it's like to run a fleet of trucks so I won't get all nit-picky. The industry is changing and I'm excited to watch this company grow and be a part of it.

I’ve been driving for these guys for just over a year and this is the best company I have ever driven for. They will work with you, they will do their best to get you home when you ask, they will send you to any state you ask, they help you with any issues you have at pickups or deliveries. I was OTR for 7 months I have been through all lower 48 states with these guys and they came to me and asked me to be dedicated I have been doing dedicated for 8 months. I get along really good with the office staff and this company will make you feel like you are part of the family if you help them out they will help you out. I have talked to a lot of the drivers here too they have nothing bad to say about this company. I started here last year I didn’t start out with the pay I was hoping for but within a few months after I showed them how I was as a driver they did get my pay up. I took less starting pay to be at a lifetime career/job the treatment you get here makes up for the pay. This is a very good company if you are looking for a lifetime career at one company.

I booked a load#2257297 with Mike. He assured that he could schedule a DEL appt for anytime on 02/26/2021. Sent my truck, checked in, got a dock. And here I got an email from Beau saying that the first available appt was on Mon @ 8AM and asking to let him know if that worked, if not they had to cancel it. I said no and asked him to send me a TONU. And then he started giving me some childish excuses i.e. my truck had 2PM PU appt, my driver didn’t accept a tracking etc. I reviewed our rate con again and said our PU window was between 8AM and 2PM. As for accepting a tracking - why nobody let me know that my driver didn’t accepted or was not on tracking. And that’s the only way it could be fixed because I am as a carrier don’t have an access to their tracking system. So pretty much this is not the broker you can count on. Very unprofessional! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Booked a load on Thursday for Friday pick up with Beverly. Showed up on time for pick up, shipper told my driver that load was picked up earlier from another company. We called Leonards , we explained the situation. First they put me on 12 mins hold.Finally they answer saying someone from our company called and canceled the load. We checked all of our recordings and emails , no one from our company called. We asked them to send us recordings from that call and of course they didnt had one. We didnt even got TONU for this load Very poor service by Beverly. Would not recommend this agent at all .They dont care about drivers and carriers.

Vlad Stranger (Stranger) for LEONARD'S EXPRESS INC
Shipping office personnel at 1600 Lexington Ave in Rochester NY are rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I have seen a lot during my 20 years as a truck driver but nothing that compares to my experience at Leonard's. Be careful. They're dangerous. This was my first and last time delivering or picking up for Leonard's Express.

Excellent company wonderful employees. They hire CDL Class A drivers. There is a school on the property.
