Pendleton's Towing & Recovery (Light-Heavy duty towing)

My little daughter and husband were involved in an accident that totaled our vehicle. The police called for this tow truck service who came to the scene. The driver lied to my husband saying it was state law that they tow the truck to their yard and could not tow it to our home. They charged us $450 for towing it roughly 9.6 miles from the accident scene and it was 9.7 to our house. We contacted another tow truck company who was reasonably priced to tow our car home from pendletons tow truck yard. When he went to retrieve his vehicle he was verbally assaulted by the employees because he called them out on the driver lying about being able to tow it to our house. This business is all about the money and will overcharge you and flat out lie to you, especially knowing you are in a vulnerable position! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Avoid renting from here all costs. They are extremely unprofessional and unable interface effectively with the u-haul system. It took them a long time just to figure out how to check out my trialer without a tax exepmpt ID. When I retured my trailer I was overcharged. When I called back to point out the mistake the attendant because beligerant and rude and hung up on me.

I’ve taken the time only once in my life to leave a bad review for a company but these guys deserve it. Tried to use Pendleton Towing to have my car towed utilizing my insurance companies roadside assistance called them to provide details on my situation and was told the information would be passed to the driver and they would be there in 45 minutes. Waited an hour and called them back, spoke with the same lady who told me they could no longer come and my insurance company should have notified me. I asked her why they would not have called me back to let me know since I had already spoken with them and they had my number but seemed perplexed that I would have liked them to let me know and reiterated that the insurance company should have called me. I called my insurance company back and they had no record of Pendleton not being able to come. Basically left me high and dry, had to go find another company but by then it was dark and a much bigger hassle. Though my insurance company said they had not heard from them it’s possible that was not true as well but either way a simple courtesy call back to let me know would have been the right thing to do here.

This man for the company came flying out of a neighborhood with no care for any stop signs or possible traffic. Wasn’t until I got close and had to swerve to hear the mast squeal of his hard braking showing tried braking fast to not hit me. I don’t care what you have to do to keep an eye on your drivers but they need to be tracked on how they are driving. Never will use this company. Feel like they will cause an accident to try and get more business.

My son's car was stolen in Salt Lake City and involved in a DUI incident with a police cruiser We were unaware of this, .because we live in Nevada. When we were called to say the car had been found we tried to get information ..was it damaged, etc. We weren't able to find out anything. Whomever you initially talk to on the phone assumes that you know exactly what you need to know to pick up a vehicle. In our state, we don't need any forms ...just money. We drove three hours to pick our car up, and the employees in the office, once again, rude!! They said they didn't have on record that the vehicle was stolen. So basically, we were treated like we were the ones that rammed a police cruiser. The level of unprofessionalism is off the charts!! I guess in this business you don't need to be polite or treat people with respect.
