The sign on bonus comes with stipulations & you definitely will NOT get a new truck. The president & VP of this place are very disrespectful. Do your research before you come here!

I just started with Southern Freight one week ago as a driver. I love it already. The staff is top notch. Pat Taylor interviewed me. I wouldn't be there if not for him. He will tell you the way it is. Liz and Don nursed me through the first week. They are classy and patient. I blew up their phones with questions. I cannot forget Ian and Brandy. They have the same level of character and professionalism. This is a great company to work for. You definitely are not a number but a name.

I arrived at shipper and went in. Told a door and sfs guy behind me was told a door. Sfs got into truck pulled out and backed into the dock door
Then stopped and opened doors and slid tandem and took straps out. Just wanted to back into dock before me. Then left his lights on. Dark outside so I asked him to turn out his lights. Comes outside and says " why do you have a vision problem. Why are you driving. "I should of just hit his truck because it was tight docks. Was very rude. Truck number 1627.

Overall they are very honest, but you really can only count on 1800-2200 miles they do 80% live load so you lose many miles... they do with out a doubt get you home on Friday 99% of the time . Over all a great place to work but you will not make tons of cash 650- 875 clear depending on deductions. The pay is very fair for the work you do and they speak the truth , probably the most honest company I've ever been apart off.

Can’t speak for the company itself, but got behind one of their drivers the other who obviously needs retraining and needs to be taught left from right. Trailer #1973V. Tailgating and not observing truck restriction lanes several different times.
