Beautiful wooded rest area. The restroom buildings sit on wetland with beautiful walking trail. I love the good theme inside, very clean and well maintained. Thanks to the property management staff.
Plus, there are picnic pavilion outside too. Nice setting. ♥️

Another well maintained rest area. This is yet another example of a nicely maintained and accessible rest stop. Ample parking that’s handicap accessible as is the building and raised paths.
Clean restrooms that feature changing tables and air hand driers.
Indoor and outdoor seating. A good walking area and a couple covered picnic areas.
Did notice quite a few cats though it looks as though they are being taken care of.
Inside feature’s information displays and a replica monument.

This rest stop is very very nice & an interesting place to walk around! Watch out for snakes! The bathrooms are clean & plentiful. There is also a family restroom. There are vending machines with soda pop & snacks & an informative desk. Wheelchair accessible.

Thoughtful design of the rest stop, totally amazed of the layout. Semi trucks on side and vehicles of choice on other side,mucho design. From my viewing the eating areas and walkway are raised up off the ground, beautiful, beautiful done. Main enclosed area is groovy. All people if coming by this way ✔️✔️ the area yourself (I believe there might be some who will grumble and complain) but that's those people. Me. myself and I really like it, ate a bite then got back on road heading home, Much appreciated Chambers County!!

Great rest area, bugs are crazy loud but kinda cool. The manager and his dog are so sweet and nice to speak to! Very clean and has a table with charging ports to sit inside with the a/c. Except, in the morning John told us we could not eat at the table and tried to make us leave. The stray cats were so cute, they had about 5 babies that were so fun to watch!

So, even if you don’t need to... stop here! This amazing little rest area has a playground for kids and gazebos for grilling. It’s nestled in what used to be a swamp so there is tons of wildlife! The fresh air and cicadas made me not want to leave.

This is a nice small place that accomodates anything for small cars to trailer trucks. This place holds soda machines and a set of indoors as well as outdoor restrooms for both female and male and family. Also it has drinking water fountains and a playground, however at the moment are restricted due to the pandemia. When visiting do follow the advice too stay in the walkway because the place does hold dangerous snakes and poison ivy. There is no need to pay anything for the stay. It is a nice small place to take a small rest from a long drive.

Nice rest stop to stay overnight especially for those who doesn’t like to drive at night. They have pavilions with picnic table and a play area for kids (playground is closed as of this writing). The bathrooms and surrounding areas are clean. They have a custodian who maintains the area all day. There’s also wifi, vending machines and a brief history of Texas inside the welcome center. The only issue is the freeway noise can be overwhelming as the parking area for cars parallel the freeway. Big trucks are parked on the other side of welcome center.

You pull off, hear that the noise level from being on the road has dropped what feels like 100 decibels, take a deep breath and realize it's a little piece of heaven just of I-10. It's by Turtle Bayou and the buildings look like you just stepped out of a canoe and are deep into it. I've stopped at these rest stops both EB & WB, clean a great place to catch 20 winks or just breathe.
