I-10 Rest Area, Eastbound, Calimesa, CA

As you can see in the photos, this is one of the good rest stops. I feel safe here as a single woman and traveling with a small dog. There are two separate pet areas for the choosing Then STAN on three sides, see you still need a leash. On grounds, is a CA Highway Patrol Annex which makes you feel safer just seeing the sign. Although you can only get to it from the I 10 eastbound offramp, There is an Westtown offramp but you have to U-turn a few miles east bound to get back on westbound. It was worth it to me. The facility was clean, well-stocked and in addition to the two operating sinks inside the facilities, there are two working water Spicket‘s for your use. Too young to know what a payphone is? Come by this restaurant, there’s three that are working. If you need to take a break, take a walk, restless kids, this is not the rest stop to miss. There is ample picking tables and grass areas around the property for them to run around. It’s fenced! It was a good stop. Thank you. For as much as I am on the road I respect and appreciate a nice rest stop.

Not the most picturesque rest stop but okay for a quick stop. The restrooms are mostly clean but they are well used and can show it during busy parts of the day (this stop is never really empty). Decent place to let your pet have a stretch.

This rest area is nice, but it sucks that 2 toilets are soiled, looked like 2 girls didn't make it soon enough. Other than that, I enjoyed watching the squirrels play.

Nice little rest stop off the 10. Picnic tables a big area for your pets And some decent restrooms. ( not the cleanest ) but when you gotta go you gotta go. There’s a lot of parking ( all with shade pretty much ) And a cool map of the Santa Ana river

Despite the graffiti and carvings that define this restroom, I found it to be better than satisfactory for two reasons: a large vent to let the odor out and the lightness of the room. Too often, public bathrooms are dark and dingy, but this one was not. The mirrors were slightly warped, though, and the sensor on one of the toilet was smashed in.

Safe & clean. What more could you want from a rest stop?

The California Highway Patrol has an office on site, this seems to keep the criminal element away while simultaneously providing travelers with a safe environment to just relax and take a break from driving or even sleep in their vehicle overnight. They have restrooms that are cleaned daily. There are designated areas for your furry friends to take advantage of, while stopping. They even have a chilled and filtered drinking fountain available.

Generally open, always a bonus. Decently clean.. not a place to spend a lot of time but sure glad it's there!

I can say all the rest stops between Arizona and California the coast are all exceptionally clean and well lit

We were on the way back home and we stop to use the restrooms. When I was walking on the parking lot to go to the restroom, I saw a crew of 8 to 10 guys with shopping carts with lots of cleaning supplies and walking by they were cleaning the restrooms so, when I went inside the restroom I was so surprised to see the inside so spotless. The men restroom were very clean.. Great job to all the crew who were doing an excellent job.
