I love Baltimore Maryland Maryland has good scenic routes and the rest areas are wonderful very clean very nice lot of room lot of people using it the parking was outstanding especially for trucks and cars they have plenty of room

I rate this rest stop from the perspective of accessibility. I have very limited mobility and use a scooter. In between the Men’s and Women’s room is a Handicap bathroom. It is a single stall bathroom with plenty of room.
The bathroom was clean and the attendant came right out to open it. He was extremely nice and helpful. There is a sign on the door that after 8 you have to ring the bell to get someone to open it.
My only negative is that there was a mouse in the bathroom! He was not a happy camper and neither was I!

Maryland Rest Stop
I am sitting in the parking lot shaking my head. It is 11:30PM. There are THREE lights out on the sidewalk path to the restrooms and visitor center. THREE! It is VERY dark on the walk to the restrooms and could be very dangerous, for walking and personal safety. Also the parking area opposite the handicapped spaces are nearly pitch black. All enticing criminals to descend upon tourists here late at night. I am surprised MD allows this rest stop to function so dangerously. Very sad.

The visitor center was closed when I arrived around 3/4pm on a Friday (10/29/2021). The rest stop had plenty of parking spots. The restroom was clean but very dated and did not smell well. The vending machines were stocked with snacks, but several were sold out of water and Gatorade. If I had a choice, I would not stop here again. But hey, thank God for any rest stop when you really need to pee and need a snack.
