Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Chester

Attempted to stay at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend for a travel softball tournament. The room was filthy and the door lock did not function. The staff did not care and ultimately could not re-room us. Multiple other families from our team had the same issue and had to be re-roomed multiple times so they clearly ran out of rooms. The front desk attendant claimed he would cancel our room and refund our money ($400). Never refunded the money and I’m still trying to resolve it. Called Wyndham and they said the reservation showed cancelled on their end but that I would have to get the hotel itself to refund my money. I attempted to call the hotel and was told to email the manager so I emailed the email provided as well as the email on the invoice. It’s been almost 3 weeks and no response, no refund. Unreal. I’m now forced to work with my bank to get my money back, this is fraud. Don’t stay at this hotel.

Do not stay here! We booked our room a month ahead of time for a lax tournament. On the day of the tournament, our team had games from 2:45 til 7 pm. I called to let the hotel know that we would be checking in, but it would not be until later. They told me I had to come in before 3 or they would give my room away. I had to leave the tournament, drive to hotel and check in and return to tournament. They had my credit card on file, why couldn’t they just charge my card and hold the room for me??? Several other families on our team showed up to hotel after tourney to find out that their rooms had indeed been rented out to others. Not a good experience at all.

The staff want pleasant when we arrived. Not nasty, just not welcoming. The first room we were given was not cleaned. I went downstairs for another room and they gave me the one next door which was not so clean, but acceptable. The first room smoke alarm was beeping low battery. The second room didn't have that problem because someone pulled it off the ceiling. There was not much table space in the room and it was not clean, but the ac worked great. I wouldn't recommend this place

Checked in to a very poorly cleaned room. The bed had clearly been tidied up but not changed. There was dust on many surfaces, enough that my wife drew a smiley face with her finger. We found a couple of the previous visitors belongings just laying around. Some unfolded blankets. The tub had what could only be described as sludge in it. Honestly the worst hotel room I've ever been in. The desk clerk did give me my money back when I said we were leaving but I didn't even get an apology. Instead I got the excuse that the housekeeper is new and they've had a hard time keeping staff.

Only a 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. Whole building, lobby, halls, elevator, and room are filthy. Looks like nothing has been swept in months. Rooms are in disrepair, items broken or missing. TV was broken, cords are frayed, front desk said nothing they couldn't do anything about it. Air conditioning is barely working and all the halls smell of cigarette smoke and pot. Ran into housekeeping getting off the elevator and they said they didn't make it to the 3rd floor today but they are tired so they are done for the day. We had to list how many we had staying in our room, which was 3 but we only got towels and washcloths for 2 people. The air unit has tons of dust and dirt in it. Would never stay here again. Girl at check in was very unfriendly. We stayed as part of a blocked group for a soccer tournament. Everyone had issues with their rooms being dirty and in disrepair. Hotel staff park in the handicapped parking closest to the door, leaving the truly handicapped to fend for themselves elsewhere in the lot. I imagine the hotel manager will post a comment on here like they have other reviews, claiming to be sorry and seriously looking into the matter and then nothing will be done to make improvements. Instead of wasting your time replying to all of the reviews how about taking some time to help your staff get the place cleaned up. Lead by example and let your actions speak louder than your false words.

Because there wasn't room at our son's home, we stayed at the West Chester Microtel for the Thanksgiving holiday (10 days). The staff were exceptionally nice and we found our room on the small side, but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was adequate and plentiful. We were on the ground floor with easy access to the front entrance and the side door. We would stay there again.

The lady at the front desk seemed nice, but that was about the only good thing. The hallway smelled of mildew and cigarette smoke. Our room entry area smelled like weed. There was hair in the sink and shower in the bathroom. We had a room with 2 queen beds. Based on some of the other reviews, I thought it would be wise to check for bed bugs. One of the beds had sheets that were stained on it, so I decided we definitely weren't sleeping in that one. As I pulled the sheets off, CLUMPS (not strands, but actual clumps) of black hair came out with the sheets. There were brown dots on the mattress, but honestly, I was so grossed out at that point, I didn't investigate if they were actually bugs. We left immediately.

Stayed here a few times. Once just overnight and once overnight but paid to leave our car there for a week while we flew out of the airport on vacation. We came back from vacation with a nice gash in our car door. And the second time we stayed, the parking lot was full so we had to park 2 lots over at Cracker Barrel and walk to the hotel. The room was nice though. Had to ask for towels because all we had were hand towels.

Kudos to the staff for being helpful and considerate. Needed an accessible room which turned out to be well arranged and easy to navigate in a wheelchair. Large "roll in " shower and large shower seat provided. special lift available to access breakfast area. Economical choice in an interesting tourist area - lots to do not far away.

5/5 I needed something after a late night flight, and this hotel delivered. The rooms are pretty standard, but very comfortable. The room I was in was away from the main road, so it was really quiet, so I slept well. The breakfast was good. The best part was the price and convenience
