Giant Food

Marked themselves as open for holiday hours. Walked all the way here in the cold after working a 12 hour shift. Closed. Why go through the trouble to specifically mark the store open on Christmas is you're not going to be open? I'm starving and nothing else is open.

The customer service at this particular location is despicable. The deli personnel have the absolute worst customer service and inept management. The older woman with the platinum 👱🏾 hair “ Deborah” as her name tag states moves as though she’s tipping on glass. The young man “ Luuuucky “ as his name tag states was reluctant to assist Ms Deborah with attending to the customers he boasted of how he’s getting off in the next hour. He taunted her. And there was a really tall thin frame young lady who stated she doesn’t cut meat. I was in a state of oblivion for the lack thereof professional and courteous decorum that was not exuberant of the giant employees. It’s time for new leadership and training on how to APPROPRIATENESS, CUSTOMER SERVICE & PROFESSIONALISM.

Giant is our go to store for groceries, baked goods, dairy products,household maintenance supplies, meat, seafood (fresh & frozen), produce (vegetables & fruit), some international produce for Mexican cuisine and soft drinks from Mexico. Parking is abundant. The store is clean as well as the rest rooms at the back of the store. The staff is friendly and competent answering questions about the products. The store management is available at all times at the front of the store. Problems and returns are easy to do using the front of store personnel. Depending on the time of day, the waiting time to check out and pay is usually quick efficient due to the knowledgeable cashiers. At busy times, more cashier lines should open to expedite an increase in demand. This is not always done, however. ***************************** This Giant is well- run by competent staff who are committed to their jobs and dedicated to satisfying urban, diverse, neighborhood customers' needs.

On several occasions I had the displeasure of visiting this Giant Food location. It is the worse grocery store I have ever been to. There were 30+ dead flies in the dairy case. There was dried chicken blood in the poultry section, black mold in the milk case, the floors had food as well as dead flies and some sort of black sticky residue all over them, also coagulated cows blood and rusty disgusting shelves. There were dried cracked and dried eggs on the shelves that looked like they had been there forever, if not longer.

Well it’s Giant Foods, wide variety of groceries, meat, seafood, canned food, birthday cake, salad bar, cleaning supplies, you name it. Good service, self check out, parking… Nice overall.

1st let me mention that I have Multiple Sclerosis, & I'm in a cute pink wheelchair. ☺. Each time I have adventure to Giant's on 601 E. 33rd Street in Waverly. I had a youngmen staffers to assist me. They were so respectful, helpful & we had pleasant conversations. Those experiences were truly wonderful! Thank you Giant's for hand picking your ideal staff & the cashiers are sweet too. 😊

This is a nice Giants. Big shout out to Sarah in the Seafood department for her excellent customer service, this young lady needs a raise. The line was long and she took care of everyone. If it was me, by myself, I would've screamed. Hubby enjoyed his steamed crabs.

Very great. I have been going to this market for over 5 years now,and everything is perfect. Everything is neat inside,and the selection of items is great. :)

Clean and welcoming local grocery store. Depending on your visit time and use of self check out easy in , easy shopping and easy exit! Very competitive pricing and very competent security so I very rarely notice any shop lifting or security problems!!! Don't test them! Which makes vising very comfortable.

Fresh food
