My husband and I stopped in Memphis on our way back to Seattle. Too tired to drive further. We had trouble finding a room so late, but we were able to get one at Travelodge. We were afraid due to other reviews. However, everything was great. Check-in was smooth and easy. Desk clerk was friendly. The room was clean and large. Loved the shower....hot water stayed hot lol unlike some hotels we've stayed at. The hotel is perfect for Elvis lovers. We were lucky enough to meet the general manager, Harold and he was super knowledgeable. He told us a lot of Elvis facts that we did not know. We pass through the area a few times a year and this will be our go to hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

This hotel was gross and disgusting. When you walked in you could smell the pot and cigarette smoke in the lobby and the public bathrooms.
The rooms were way worse. Burn marks on the carpet, mold in the shower, a pile of dirt in the corner of the bathroom, the shower curtain rod wasn't properly attached to the wall and the replaced the toilet tank cover with one that didn't fit. This did allow easier access to adjust the flapper so the tank would fill.
There was no breakfast of any kind as it was listed when I booked the room. The elevator was mechanically a disaster. We thought for sure would just give out and that was how we world die on our vacation.

I called this hotel and confirmed a room from June 18th through the 21st gave the nice young lady all of my information along with my debit bank card to secure the room waited on a confirmation email for an hour did not receive one call the hotel and which I was told that they couldn't find me in their system at all who was I they didn't know sent me the runaround to three different people who still couldn't find me spent over 45 minutes on the phone before someone finally just typed in a few letters and boom there I was bad all the way around

We loved the staff and security. Great service and they handle every complaint very decent, our problem got solved right away. We got another room and enjoyed our stay for 2 weeks. The room was clean and for the price its a very nice hotel, we felt very save because there was good security since the neighbourhood ain't the best one from Memphis. We will come back thats for sure!

Ok, so I think I got lucky. Even so, I just want to say, if you are going to stay more than one night and can avoid staying here, avoid it. If you need a place to stay for one night and leave early in the morning, not the end of the world, but it really is messy. Room smelled nice but sheets were stained and the bathroom smelled the way clothes do when they're damp and don't dry well. Not sure how this is a the star hotel, it reminds me more of a motel.

Good value given the price and the location near the airport. I've stayed here on two occasions and it is acceptable. I've stayed in places that were no better for 2x to 3x the cost.

The remote did not work for the TV so I did not ask for someone to come look at it I ask for batteries, 3 days later, nothing.
The bath tub looked like a crime scene, it was filthy! I’ve traveled very extensively with my work and for pleasure this was by far the worst I’ve ever seen!
I stayed in another large chain the next night comparable price and no reservation room was as new! The place in Memphis was very noisy as well all night each of the 3 nights. Now I know why they required payment in advance, Luther wise I have found a cleaner place. Oh and the free breakfast is cereal, muffins, juices, coffee and the such. Nothing like even the waffles you fix yourself! Much less scrambled eggs or omelette’s. We left and went to a large chain for breakfast, it’s slways good.

Looks like it used to be beautiful. Now run down. Check-in took forever because of a computer issue. Room was right next to an elevator, that didn’t work. Breakfast was free! Consisted of Cheerios, toast, and OJ. Plus you could use instant oatmeal or grits. Elevator as quick though. BTW. Entire 4th floor smelled like a skunk! ☺️

The air conditioner is not working right, even after two maintenance men looked at it. The phone doesn't work. The rooms are old looking, and the beds are very firm, and the box springs are very old and stained. On a brighter note the staff has been very nice and helpful. They did bring in a fan for us to use. This hotel used to be called dad's place, Travelodge has purchased it, and it is going under some renovations to bring it up-to-date how much I do not know. But for now it is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. They placed us in another room because of the air conditioner. not working. In the new room that air condition also did not work, and what's worse it started to leak all over the carpet, so far in to the room that you had to wear shoes. This was reported to the front desk and they sent up a person who used a dry vacuum to suck up all the water, this was only a quick fix as it continued to leak more water. DON'T STAY AT THIS PLACE!!

This Travelodge property is in a run-down section of Memphis, just east of Interstate Hwy. 55, which was convenient, on/off. The exterior & interior are clean and well-maintained. And, the young lady and the desk was very friendly & helpful. Our room was fine, with a coffee maker, mini-fridge, decent television, comfortable beds, hot water, and cold AC. This is a fair place to stay. We also liked being able to get the "Grab & Go Breakfast" at 5:30 AM. RJT
