Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chattanooga/Near Hamilton P

The location seemed good. There are other nice motels on the block, but there are a lot of homeless and questionable looking people on the grounds and in the motel. The rooms are horrible! Nothing is clean. Furniture is falling apart. The TV in our room didn't work and didn't have a remote. The desk attendant gave us a remote, but it didn't work. She said that maintenance would have to program in and she would send him to fix it shortly. He never came and she didn't have his phone number. We went out for a couple of hours, hoping he would show, but when we got back to the room, nothing had changed. I talked to the woman at the desk and she said that she would give us a different room. The new room was in the same condition, but this one had a small fridge and the TV worked. Service was very rude. We were asked repeatedly if we had a room there. Housekeeping did not clean the room while we were out. We asked for clean towels and were told that we would have to take our dirty ones to exchange for clean ones. When we took them to her, she made us take them to the laundry room. I am surprised she didn't want us to wash them too. I could say more, but I think you can get the point.

I did not stay in a suite with kitchenette, etc so I have no input on those types of rooms. We had a small double bed room. The room was smaller than expected---about the size of a cruise ship cabin. It was obvious there had been recent updates to the room and hotel. Ongoing updating in hotel. The AC unit worked well and seemed new but was so loud woke me up several times during the night. Maybe due to room size. One of the cleanest bathrooms I have had in while. Majority of staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Per many previous reviews, I will have to agree the parking lot needed alot of attention and marijuana smoke was the primary smell throughout the hotel. I totally do not care what people do/smoke in their rooms and cars but there are a lot of families and children that stay there. A little more effort to clear the smell in halls and lobby would probably go a long way. Overall a very good price for a decent and clean room. I will recommend and def stay again if in the area.

The outside wasn't even well maintained! The lobby area was dirty! Elevators were dirty! Hallways and room reeked of smoke! Carpet inside the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! Heck the entire facility needed a good sterile cleaning!No iron, ironing board or hangers! The faucet leaked! The place was a DUMP! Looked nothing like online 😡 The one star is just because the staff was nice🫤

Management & staff was great! What got us was when we arrived last night and was going to sleep after getting settled in and someone came banging on the door. Ok fine you know it’s a hotel people do that. Got up to shower this morning & someone tried to get into the room. Was pushing on the door very hard and it popped the deadbolt lock open somehow (triple checked before going to sleep to make sure it was completely locked).

walking in, there was a customer literally screaming and cussing out the front desk girl. I assume they were a couple and that's embarrassing. my wife and I got checked in, and the elevator smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking hotel. upon entering the room, their cleaning supplies, brooms, vacuum cleaners, etc were still in the room. I went back down stairs to let them know. the same guy was again yelling at the front desk lady about his personal issues with him and her. they send someone up there with me, he takes out the items. my wife informed me that there is only 1 pillow for 2 people for a queen size bed. I asked the man and he said "no there isn't anymore pillows" I check out the room, there is cigarette burns throughout the room and the furniture, and again it's a non smoking hotel. throughout the night, we hear people screaming in the hotel for no reason. waking up this morning I was looking forward to breakfast. all that was there was water, apple juice, orange juice and coffee.... and this was at 8 am... I finally had enough and started to take my stuff to the car, as I held the door for TWO employees none said thank you to me which is rude. I will not return. I know this is privately owned by KBROS. I will not back to any of their owner hotels

Worst place to stay. If there was a way to give no stars I will. We wanted to stay in a place that we would use just to sleep, but when we were walking up to the room there was a marijuana smell and then in the room we found a cockroach on top of the bed. I was giving it a try because it was a Wyndham motel, and I had tried them before with no issues. But this one is definitely a no go.

Your typical 90s motel meets 2010s renovations. No frills, but I have nothing bad to say. The AC works great, the Xfinity cable with the LED TV is a decent touch. For $60 after taxes, there's no microwave or fridge in my room, but the bed is comfortable, it's clean, and the water pressure in the shower was nice. The linens were clean and plentiful. It's a place to sleep, to be expected of a Microtel: in a relatively safe area directly off Exit 5 on I-75. Minutes to Hamilton Place Mall, and about 15 minutes to all the attractions in downtown Chattanooga. You can't go wrong. Jennifer (the manager) was very nice and cordial. I'd stay here again.

Do not let the staged photos and clean facade deceive you, it's not accurate. The exterior and entry way was wonderful. Amazing Continental breakfast, helpful staff, cheapest prices in the area, and very accessible facility made a great initial experience, however that's about it. A room for 4 was given only two towels and the shower was peppered with grime and black algae(?). Being on the second floor, we entered the elevator that reeked of weed and smoke. For a non-smoking room, you have to walk through a hallway of "non-smoking" rooms that very clearly do not follow the posted signs. The sheets had a cigarette burn right through it. Interestingly, housekeeping only made one of the two beds on the second day while the other was untouched. Not sure what happened there. Overall, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you really need a last minute plan. Personally, I was about to give it a three star review, however the three other visitors agreed it would be generous for two. Going with the majority vote here.

Adequate enough. The room was clean, the bathrooms worked. Nothing negative to say about the actual place or staff. Good breakfast. But the negatives were that the entire place smells like weed, people are up and yelling at all hours of the night and the rooms have thin walls so we heard everything. Other than that, no one bothered us so we were good.

They refused to fix our chirping smoke alarm. They said they had no batteries just to disconnect it. Is that legal?? They did fix the lock on the door that was broken to the connecting room, horror movie starter pack. The walls were stained, the carpet was sticky, drawers were broken. In the morning the breakfast.. the bagels were hard. I have not one good thing to say about this place. If the parking lot wasn't so sketchy, I might have been better off sleeping in my car. Don't stay here.
