Stoops Freightliner

Got in and out the same day. Needed def work done and headlight wiring. It wasn't cheap that's for sure but the work was done right and as quickly as possible. Would go back but prefer to stay out of shops for awhile.

Got me in. Let me park my trailer and allowed me to overnight till repairs can be made. They take the time to address your concerns and questions. Update 08-02-22. While the afore mentioned is true, I was compelled to bring to attention that this is a large facility, and since my initial review I became disappointed to learn that they failed to mention they have a much nicer waiting longe for customers that I was not made aware. After being there 4 days it would have been nice to know that other lounge had a laundry, showers, and a was bigger, although I never got to make use. Also, if you don't check on the progress of your repairs yourself, you're not going to know if they are completed or not, such was the case with me. My truck was completed and parked for an unknown amount of time, but info not relayed to me. They did apologize, but they did know that I was on the property waiting in the smaller lounge.

Went to have a PM conducted (Overhead). No lights or engine issues present. The next morning long starts and engine light on. Took vehicle back and asked them to address long starts and light and told them it’s not synced properly, I told them the truck acts like it’s not getting fuel. They charged me stating the light was and old fault. Never addressed the long start and couldn’t address the light being on because it was no longer on. Now I have to take the truck to another Freightliner that will honor the poor work that was done at this location. Still having issues with the long starts. The truck came out worse than it went in. I do PM’s because I try to avoid breakdowns. It’s horrible to pay for a service not provided.

They do good work but are extremely high in their pricing and you can find the same quality of service at a more reasonable rate. Also, always a problem with their process of not excepting payment methods over the phone. Not all companies deal locally so that is always a problem.

I am here now for a recurring check engine light. On board diagnostic say electrical problem detected. So far my only regret is I didn't know till after service write up and I was in staging it was going to be next day before they brought it in. But I will wait till after and update. My truck went about 10am. Was out by noon. 2 hours total. Maybe I was lucky because it was a simple fix but I didn't experience any serious problems

My experience with Stoops has not been a good one. We checked in early Thursday afternoon, they said they were running around 6 hours before they could look at it, which we understood. The screwups started Friday morning when they finally got around to looking at the truck. They diagnosed the problem and just parked the truck back in the lot, they never called us and told us what the problem was, we never found out until we called them. We were told that the truck would have to get back in line, but they would be starting to work on it later that same day, we left contact information again. Still no word from them as of 5:00 pm on Friday so we called back and was told it would be taken into the shop on Saturday. Saturday morning we called to get an update, we were again told it would go into the shop that day and it would be ready by before they close, so we called back around 4:00, the person we talked to then said it wasn't ready but he guaranteed it would be done by the end of the day Sunday. Sunday morning we called back and was told what they were doing was more extensive than what we were originally told and that the truck wouldn't be ready untill Monday morning. Monday rolls around and we still haven't gotten a call from Stoops, so we called again and was told they were finally done with the truck, so we went there. When we get there, we're told they don't have the paperwork, it'll just be a few minutes, four hours later they finally have the paperwork ready. This place suffers from lack of communication. I would NOT recommend Stoops Freightliner to anyone.

Trash service! Paid a bunch of money to fix cruise control but it still doesn’t work. Brought it back and they say they can’t find an issue but want me to pay for labor. Why when y’all said it was fixed the first time? On top of that they are taking forever to complete routine maintenance and making me late for my next pick up 😩 Just take it to LOVES and save time, money & headache

6-23-2020 I was trying to call parts to see if a part was in stock so I could stop by to pick it up. Phone rings and rings and then a dude just picks up the phone, hangs it up right away on me without even saying anything. Men and Women, every 1 star review you read is legitimate and accurate. Last time a few months ago I stood in line an hour just for a stupid wiper arm.

Passes up highly qualified applicants with no regard. Place was great to work for when Mike Miller ran the Shop,now ran by inexperienced.

Stoops Indianapolis has the worst customer service and good luck getting a hold of them by phone since its like winning the lottery if you either get someone to answer or let i ring forever only to hear someone pick up phone and immediately hang up and its like this on a daily basis! I've even walked into the parts department while calling them to watch one of the parts salesman pick up a hang up? I've questioned them several times to get the answer of short staffed, phones are down or computers are down! On a Saturday you walk into a line of on average 8 to 10 people and see that there's only 2 or 3 salesman working and answering phones as well! So plan on spending ½ your day there on a weekend! Come on Stoops get with the program! Get your stuff together! You should hear what they are saying about your company when they walk out after getting their parts!
