MHC Kenworth - Olathe

Is my first time doing a review but I had to do it because I really appreciate what Zach did for me, my truck was in the shop for a few days, 4 days later the check engine light came back on!!! I was on my way to Denver CO with 44,000 trailer, I knew it going with that light on I could get the derate in my way to Denver and you guys know how much is a tow truck btw 3,500-5000 at least, that situation was really frustrating, I called MHC Zach was the guy that answered the phone i told him my situation either one was to take the risk or go back to ks and return the product to the customer to take my truck to the shop and lost money, he asked me where I was I told him I’m in Topeka I told him if there is anything you can do Zach please help me, He told Me I’m off already but you know gerald I’m gonna wait for you here in the shop and see how I can help you he understood my situation !!!!!!!! 🥺 if somebody do that for you being a driver, loaded, frustrated men!!! i have not words or how to appreciate that 🙏 i went back to KS (1 hr and 20 minutes) I called him i was thinking 🤔 is he really gonna be there????? And yes he was really there waiting for at bay 3 without uniform he was actually ready to go home BUT he wait for me!!! He was ready with the computer!!!! Ok Gerald let’s try to help you and keep you rolling to Denver that way you don’t loose money today, he opened the hook removed some sensors, cleaned those sensors, for about an hour he did was he could do, after he finished that light disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right now I’m on my way to Denver again for the third time, that guy Zach did something amazing for me i was really needing my truck to keep working again after being a week in the shop, again Zach thank you!!!!!! Thanks my men! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 if you are a driver you know what this means for us!!!! Thanks Zach again and again! By the way that damn light didn’t come on again!!!!!🎊😉👍🏼🙏

Sunday morning and I’m broke down in an older GMC Astro with a bad starter/solenoid. Called Napa and got no effort what so ever. Called MHC in Olathe and got Albert on the phone. This guy was so pleasant, understanding, and did not quit on coming up with a part number for me! He was able to find me the needed part number for this antique and even though they didn’t have it in stock he pointed me in the right direction of places that may have it. Thanks a bunch for your efforts and for working for me, your customer! Will definitely use Albert and his team again!!!!

Unfortunately, first time here and had a very unpleasant experience with the service department. I came here because of a bad def sensor, As I was waiting for the service desk to check me in but after waiting for more than 30 minutes the two guys at the desk named Zach and Pat just ignored me like I’m nothing, me standing in the heat and then both of them left the counter. I waited and waited and more waited, finally Mr. Pat showed up and checked me in. I called the status update on my truck next day the time given by shop, somebody answering my call at the service desk told me that guys staying at motel treated differently, I was shocked to hear that. It took them 3 days just to put the def sensor, and now parts and labor cost me $1305.26 What a joke. I wants to aware my fellow truckers please be prepared to get ignored and I feel insulted and disrespected as a paying customer.

Unfortunately, this was the second time we have had to have our truck serviced there. The first time it took forever for the repairs but the worst part was they over charged us. After talking with our warranty person it was brought to our attention that they billed us directly instead of going through the warranty. He shared the emails between MHC and himself and he literally told them it was okay to bill us that way as long as we were not charged for additional hrs etc. We’ll long story short they did. We had to reach out to management to even get them to refund our money. That of course took longer than it should have as well. Fast forward, called up there they told us they weren’t that busy and if we headed that way they would be able to get in and diagnosed. So dropped it off and left. 5 hrs later still hadn’t heard anything. Called up there and it hadn’t even been pulled in/hooked up yet for diagnostic. Waited another 2 hrs called again and was told nope still hadn’t got it in. Finally a few hrs later they called to say the truck was ready. Went to pick it up and they charged me over $300 for what they claimed took 1.2 hrs labor to diagnosis that my battery cable was loose. Nothing like waiting 8-9 hrs for a 5min job that they charged $300 for. I’m sure the big companies don’t bat an eye over that kind of stuff but as owner operators when our truck is down that long it’s hits our pocket book a lot different. Out of everyone we delete with most were rude. The manger I dealt with the first time was nice and eventually got our problem taken care of and one guy that answered the phone last time was professional but that’s it.

I just wanted to give a shout out to all the mechanics. I appreciate everything you guys do and I know you guys wish hard and you try to get us in as fast as you can but at the same time you are trying to do your job right the first time because if your job is sloppy and we have a wreak because of it then it's your butts as well. So thank you for your hard work and thank you for helping us to stay safe out on the road.

So I bought a new truck last Friday it needed a headache rack 2 tool boxes and 1 beacon light installed already been 6 days and still not done!! Terrible customer service.. got a good deal on truck Now I do t seem to matter..

I was in here last week for a repair. This place done a great job. They were very curteous and very professional. I came in early morning and they got my truck in just after noon. It was fixed and I was back on the road by noon the following day.i really appreciate the staff and mechanics for a great job. Thank you guys.

Talking to Carlton over the phone was great after dealing with MHCMo. My stress went away. Thanks Carlton!

Happy and frustrated at the same time. The brand new truck I went and picked up is a great truck. Very quality product. I do feel however that when this kind of money is spent on something, it should be completely set up and ready to go. I had to install things on my own that you would have thought would have been done by the dealer after purchase agreement. Also was very disappointed that I had to vacuum food and dirt that was all over the interior floor of the vehicle and in the storage area under the bunk. Also also had to take razor blade and clean sticker residue off of the windshield. Was spills and marks on the leather areas of the doors also that needed to be cleaned. These trucks cost more than a lot of people's houses and I would just think when one is purchased, the dealership would care enough to have it ready to go and clean. Very disappointed I had to do all of this extra work on my own but it beats spending even more time just sitting around waiting for them to do what should have been taken care of to begin with. I'm just a driver and this is just my personal opinion. Kenworth is a good brand and the rig is nice but just have mixed feelings about getting it picked up.
